Stop in for a cup of coffee

Woo Hoo! Howdy Karl! Several of us tried to pick up the slack in your absence but well…..
Yep we ain’t even close! Glad you are up and about!

I am getting sore from sitting in my car so long... My butt hurts... (I should fill out a butt-hurt report...)

Pinched a nerve in my neck 2 1/2 weeks ago in my sleep, been seeing the chiro once a week to get better... It's getting there, slowly... Hopefully it will be better in a couple more appointments...

My oldest son broke his wrist and leg (just below the knee) last Sat riding a 10 speed bike... He was riding no handed around a turnabout and the steering wheel did a 180° spin on him...

Lots of family drama involved in getting him fixed up... Had words with the ex-wife's current husband... And then had to tell the ex-wife and her sister to drop their ***** attitudes... :soapbox:

The kid is going to need (no pun intended) surgery on his wrist this Friday as the bone in the wrist that he broke doesn't like to heal well typically... :(

His younger brother is due to graduate college in two weeks... I'm proud of him...

He's still going to stay and take a few classes this summer...

This resembles my son... Broke the left leg and right wrist... And he likes to do stunts...

Did you go looking for water today???

Old Ernie Donan, local water witch. Used to to find water for the price of a few beers. He drank warm stout beer!
He had a large cardboard box, would walk around nekkid using the box to hide his privates. Yup, wandered around until he got a stiffie. This is the absolute truth, guys! He was very successful finding water too.

Magical! Warm stout? Also magical.

So this weekend was a bit of an oddity and rare first experience for me at drill. After nearly 18 years, I thought I’d experienced just about everything you could experience outside of a combat tour.

anyway, growing up, all I ever heard my grandfather talk about was all the drills and trainings where they’d go to Michigan or to the base I’m now assigned too, and find mushrooms or go fishing and fry up mushrooms and fish using ammo cans(eventually they started “acquiring” pans from the mess section) and use the engines in their Pattons tanks to heat the oil.

well I’ve never not even once seen anyone in any of my units ever do anything remotely like that. Even when I’d find a mushroom or three , no one knew what they were but me and no way to cook them up(they guard empty ammo cans like their nuclear weapons these days).

well until yesterday. Without any planning or coordination, a few of us all brought back a handful of morels and even some blue gill and crappie. We fried them up for dinner last night and again for lunch. Good times.

Got back into shop to get some more done on PT cruiser. Bolted on water pump and vacuum tested cooling system. Its Holding vacuum. Timing belt is on. So i can assemble it tomorrow. Oh, cam seals were partially popped out and one was torn. So i think i solved the oil leak too.

Those are a pain to work on. Good thing it's you and not me.

I sure liked my Cruiser. Solid the wife. 2 things though, it takes a football field to turn one around and ours had the Rallye suspension and would beat you up pretty good on the highway.
