Anybody else thinking they aren't getting the fuel mileage on todays gas? I actually thought I had a leak on the motorcycle
There was a BP station here where the owner got caught with a garden hose running to the gas tank and mixing the fuel with water

Goodmorning!
Calm and sunny. Last day for a while. Sunday rain. For 5 days. I have been watching videos on the water level at Lake Mead. Its nuckin futz! First thing to get cut off is agriculture to keep the cities going. Has to be done i guess.
Up here our water levels are at an all time high.

Produce prices will continue to rise

But keep the golf courses green...

Retirement or Salary?

Retirement:
It'll come out in January
CSRS (old system)
FERS (new system)
Speaking of retirement wife got her Guard retirement back pay yesterday. She's now an official member of the club.
With her deployments she got her retirement two years early.

I've been staying at home.

It's good to be a remote employee right now
I’m hybrid, i usually work 2-3 days a week from home. Actually more productive than in the office.

but I only work 7 miles from home now so it’s not terrible. It’s the 40 mile round trip to daycare in the opposite direction that sucks. Wife drops off cause she works 3 miles from daycare but she doesn’t clock out until after pickup time so I have to pick up.
Wonder if the federal pay scales have gone up alot recently for a COLA inrease?
last I saw, 3.5 percent

Retirement COLA for 2022 was 5.9 for CSRS and 4.9 for FERS

Believe SS was also at 5.9

2023 will be interesting

Pay raise was 2.2% for 2022
2023 President budget is 4.6% for Feds and Military.. K¤ngre$$ is talking 5.1 I think..

I really enjoyed the tool business but I do wish I worked somewhere that had some retirement benefits. SS is all I have.

I just fell into what I did. Wish I have stayed AD in the USN, be set now then the post office afterward.

Yep. And tonight, I’m surprising the wife with an early Anniversary date night. Have a friend that’s going to babysit the minions over night and taking the wife to a 5 star steak house in Indy. Expensive night but worth it. Anniversary is 10 days away but I have drill that weekend and she works the weekend after. So I’m celebrating early. Sad the new ear rings I ordered back in May haven’t come in yet but oh well

Well good on you. Happy Anniversary to you two!

Seems like the gas is definately taking a hit on Carlisle. I have a bunch of people I was bringing stuff for I would say at least 1/3 are now not going. Wondering about the other country guys? They could not get into the USA the last few years? One guy I know of from NZ still should be here.
Gas prices were the cause for our show this past weekend. Just a little over half of what normally shows up.
