Stop in for a cup of coffee

People nowadays saw the logs into short sections, maybe 2 feet long.
Before chainsaws, even logs for firewood weren't usually cut any shorter than 4'. Splitting a 4' log is easier and faster. The end user could saw them shorter if needed with a buck saw.

You said log...

I'll have to dig through some books or old prints to find photos .
Concept is a small guide that attaches to the bar and fits a 2 x 4.
The 2x is temporarily attached to the the log with some screws. I recall cross pieces were used but why ecapes me right now.

Hmmm that is interesting

Can you post pics of them from all angles, I need to find a set of 70 stock 440 valve covers for my Superbird.... I need to know what they look like...
Well put it this way, they came off of a1970 440, but I can’t guarantee they’re correct for a superbird

Sounds like some well deserved cooling down time

Survived the HOA meeting but not w/o casualties, I am now the V.P. Hoping for not too much drama and just dealing with the road that we maintain.
