Any issues of late with the flare tools like this? With my cheapo and the new Cornwell tool it seems to leave some unflared tubing at the split line. I am blaming the not quite to size tubing that is available nowadays.

Quick cleanup with a file on the nut side of the flare seems to fix it but it is annoying.
You tighten/loosen fitting several times, to seat it. You will notice nut turns a little more each time. I do that with every fitting. A little extra optional step is a dab of anti-sieze between nut and tube. Can thank me later.

And copper/nickel flares way easier.bending it is a breeze.

Got steering angle sensor installed and calibrated. Now just charging battery. Its been sitting for a while.
‘50 chevy coming back to figure out why its not shifting, runs hot and shift lever needs an adjustment.

Andy (my oldest) is excited. His Jeep is in. Finally. He ordered it in Feb. or March.

I've been looking into trying to buy a Jeep here in Vietnam from the '65 to '75 era. Be nice to have one here that would be pretty cool

Morning Keith...
Back from Harrisburg.. Ran up to Home Outlet. Never been there before - Lots of decent stuff. Got an unfinished oak 'pantry' to use as a linen closet. probably get 1/4’ oak plywood to match for the side at Homely Depot at a third of the price they wanted for the cover panel.

Alright, I am back to the world of the living. I am beat! Church training force on force, room clearing, hostage scenarios, two days of carbine training in 117 heat index. I am whipped. Everybody and I mean everyone made fun of my big hat first day training out doors in 100 degree heat. Second day? You guessed it, I am once again a fashion icon! Lots of big hats! Most guys couldn’t hardly bear their slings around their necks on second day due to having the backs of their necks blistered from day before. Most of us did three IVs a day to stay in the game. Several guys did not make it and dropped. It was serious heat. I came in second for high score to my team mate and fellow instructor (also a Marine). In all fairness he used a 8x magnification for scoring and I just used my ACOG. I loaned my 8X to one of our other teammates and fellow instructor to use as he came with broke junk. We all use 8X venom Strike Eagles. Nice for the price if you will. You boys have put up a lot of pages while I was out. Doubt I will back read so apologies in advance.
