That mug just plain looks guilty as sin with zero regrets. Clearly he will do it again until you are trained.
Doesn't matter if the free shipping cutoff is 20 or 200. I always seem to be a few $ under it.Damn you "Free shipping over $99" when I only need $55 in parts!

Holley main jet numbers do not represent diameter. They represent flow rate. Changing the jets 2 sizes up or down will make a noticible change in AFR. I'd have to look up that list number but 66 PMJs are relatively small to begin with. Take it up cruising around 65 mph in top and you'll know if its too lean or not. Don't do this on a crowded road or some place you can't slow down and pull over.Planning for the carb rebuild. Thinking of going ahead and ordering a few different size jets ahead of time so I have them on-hand...
The 80457 comes standard with .066 jets...so maybe get a few sets down to .055 to play around with.

Whomever you talked with misled you. The diameter is not the final factor in the flow rate. Thats why some jets with different numbers have the same diameter. A lot of bad info out there - and some of it comes right from the manufacturer's "tech" people. The carbs that were decent to begin with are within a few jet sizes no matter what they get put on. Its the beauty of a carb - they respond to engine demand so supply what the engine wants.Thank you Mattax
Yes, I'm working off of the Holley spec sheets and called their tech service line and explained my setup and driving style. They recommended their 58 (122-58 which is 0.057)
Primary main jet is a 122-64 according to the documentation. I'll know more when I break it down. I like to gather all the parts before taking things apart so I've not gotten into the carb yet.
I'm not much of a wrench turner but I do a lot of research
Always, always, always appreciate the feedback and guidance from you guys. Please keep it coming

Some peckerhead has been calling repeatedly, wont leave message. Im not answering as i prefer not to deal with him. He can’t be trusted. Besides, i have been sawing and hauling trees. But i cant lift my legs anymore. Tripping on nothing. And its hot.
Saw works better than i expected.

Yes. Im outta steam. I filled trailer once, hauled it and on 2nd load. Bending, and walking back and forth with sticks is whats wearing me out. I have been going steady since 7:30 so i think i have done pretty well.Get done what you can and rest when you need to.
If you smell fuel - as in gasoline like when you fill the tank - that's not running rich - that's fuel escaping before it goes into the cylinders.OK cool...
I've come to sorta expect being an oddity because it all sits on top of a 225 slanty... I've read a lot of the threads on here concerning carburation on these (particularly 4bbl /6 setups). There's usually a fairly vigorous discussion that occurs with opposing factions. I have some folks that I lean toward their opinions primarily. I'm not racing the car...it's a cruiser, mostly below 55 MPH.
Plan "A" is to go through the rebuild, clean everything really well and replace everything back as it is currently configured to see if the rich condition continues.
What I mean by "rich" is that I can smell gas in the engine compartment after returning into the garage (there are no leaks anywhere). I have also had some occasions where short term stops take a couple of turns to get the engine to crank (as if it's maybe flooded ??)
It does have electronic ignition.

As far as opinions, I thought TMM's meme yesterday pretty much summed it up.
Of course you have no easy way to judge if anything I say is experience based on facts.
Changing the main jets is mostly to change the high speed cruise.
