So Mike, why in the world do they not have the ability at the autoparts store to toggle to an engine lookup vice "what car do you have"?

Drama every time

The manufacturers wanted to sell more product so they told the warehouse distributors to sell it direct. Eventually it drove the small auto parts businesses out of business. Glad I saw the handwriting on the wall 22 years ago. Now they got price and no service. Nobody in a parts store knows any damn thing. You know what I'm talking about Mike

Yep, It's all on a computer program. I still have a NAPA nearby that hasn't thrown their catalogs out. There's a couple guys there that know how to use them as well. THat combination is holding that store together. "Call Barry" !

When I sold my businesses to Carquest 22 years ago, I brought home most of the pertinent catalogs. Still use them when I need them today. I brought home especially the catalogs on brakes and ignition and front end parts for older cars.

When I was building the Duster, I checked the dealership for some things. Young guy didn't know... Old timer grabs a stepstool and gets a catalog off the top of the shelfs... He did find me a couple smalls and gave me part #s to search around with.

That was the fun part of the parts business finding the little obscure things.

Mae didn't want anything, so I grilled a yellow squash topped with a little butter, pepper and grated cheese. Also had a venison burger from the freezer. Mae won't eat Bambi, so I make a few from a pound at a time and freeze some. Toss it back on the grill and , yumm! And a Yards Philthy IPA. also yumm.

Speaking of Bambi, Andy, my oldest, is grinding up his deer for some jerkey. He will squeeze out some strips and sticks and I will smoke them for him. Next few days. Photos to follow.
