Is that from back when we were gonna change to the metric system "any day now"?How many of you remember this conversion chart from the eighties?

Yep 205? Honking perfect!I wouldn't worry about it. It's running right in the proper range.

Keep in mind I come from the racer side of the house. 205 is pure sex in our world!Really? I get twitchy when it's over 190. You guys know best.
Cables still need adjusted I bet. The rooster comb inside is probably stiff and a bit wornCar back together.
New filter, gasket and fluid in the transmission.
Lifted the back end to run it through the gears. Didn't immediately come back but wasn't sure if it was the fluid getting circulated or not. Indications were the same. Unresponsive, then began to engage
Test drive. Acceleration was improved. Ran through the gears up and down easily.
Stopped at 3 miles... would not go into reverse... cycled the Park lever, put into Drive then Reverse. Drove back. Did 3 quick surges coming out of the parking lot but didn't do that again
Back at the house .. waiting for it to cool down and reevaluate.
Hey Mike. A. Great bunch in here for certain.
I'll get on the computer later up type up the day's report. A win on the carb rebuild...
Transmission is still a mess. It just has a new filter and fresh fluid. Same issue... only change is that it came around to being reactive faster but still nothing when it's cold. Frustrating
8 mile loop... 45 - 65 mph car ran up to like 205 degrees so there's a lot of work left to be done apparently.
Also, top it off of fluid now that you’ve ran it. It’s likely one or both pumps and the converter were dry.Car back together.

Cold or hot plugs really don't do a thing for engine temps. Cold plugs will make your engine run rich and like crap. Too hot can melt pistons. Run Champions and never A/C in a Mopar.Hahah. Yeah. The car had colder plugs and a 160 thermostat in it before.
Changed R43TS to R45TS plugs
Changed thermostat to a 180

Why would 205 be overheating? But not overheating. Aftermarket gauge?

Not overheating. Summit under dash gauge indicates 200 - 205. Instrument panel gaurge is right in the middle...

first mark is the begining of the operating range.
You really need a second person to get it right.Yes. Agree...I think after it cools.down I'll give the TSM Park adjustment a go. It's pretty. Straightforward
You really need a second person to get it right.
I tried it and couldn’t get it right without someone holding itThe Park cable' from what I've seen is just to keep it in the Park position yes? Figure I can adds weight and string to manage that.
Shift cable is definitely a two person task.
Am I getting that right?

Reverse is the low/reverse band tightening. If it doesn't engage in manual first then for some reason its not applying that band.
Sorry to hear. If a drink will help, then cheers!Had one of the worst days I’ve had in a while. Too many things going wrong all at once. All little things but add up. I need a drink
Just a question , how many lbs is your rad cap?
