Now you see why Chrysler went away from them. They were stout transmissions, but heavy and very setup/maintenance intensive. I wish I had time, I’d drive over and help you. Probably a 5-8 hr drive which isn’t bad.Morning Guys

Yep let me find that link. Thanks Mitch ..
I'm collecting information. 2 more "on car" adjustment options before having to drop it. Hopefully the cable adjustment and low/reverse adjustment are the ticket.
Dropping the pan is a pain because I have to pull the exhaust off the header to get at the one side. At least the torque converter is taken care of. That was not easy getting those last two bolts in up high on the driver's side. Had to support the transmission and do some prying to get alignment
@halifaxhops , I'll keep my eyes open for that. @dukeboy_318 said he found a good rebuild kit on ebay (???)
Nah, I’d just drive down. Be easier lol. Thanks Chris.
If I get over my head into a teardown maybe I'll drag it onto a trailer and haul it out to the farm
Be sure you take a fire extinguisher with ya!Thanks Chris.

Hey are your cables leaking?
Be sure you take a fire extinguisher with ya!
Hehehehe
Hmmm that’s weird. Get everything adjusted and retry. You sure nothing got in the trans lines like dirt or gravel or something when you had them out?No leaks.. that's what started the saga. Replaced a badly leaking Park cable.... but everything still worked OK... then, oddly enough, when I replaced the transmission cooler lines everything just quit.
I only have that happen with electricalBe sure you take a fire extinguisher with ya!

Get a CO2, The dry chem ones eat aluminum and paint. Ask me how I know!Hahah. Absolutely
Don't think I didn't have one by the car when I first started the car after the carb rebuild

New cable? Might have done that initial strech they do when new. Double check the adjustment again. Prob something simple. No leaks.. that's what started the saga. Definitely could. Filter could also be clogged. The right one come in yetNo, nothing. I used caps to cover the open ends I wasn't working with...
Any chance that if the transmission cooler was clogged somehow that it would cause issues with hydraulic pressure build?

Yep. I’m trying to remember how it works, but inside there is a Detent pin that presses against the rooster comb to keep it from going in gear while park is selected if that cable is off or worst yet, that spring retainer on the end of cable stretched during install, which happens a lot, it may not be fully coming out of parkNew cable?
