Good morning :D

Well, I'm back from my whippin. Time to go change clothes and git busy organizing Cuda parts.........

Need to clean out the kitchen window today. Must have a small opening in storm window or screens. This guy has been living in there for at least a week. Lantern flies get in and he eats them. Lots of dead ones in the bottom

 There is moisture on the ground outside  Neither of the nearby by dams have enough water to get this far, so that can't be it. Wait, deer season just opened. That could be rain .

You don't see to many metric wagons in the drag strip. Especially a Oldsmobile. Bet it has ALSO in it. LOL Cool lookin' race car.

Send that to Penn State Agricultural Extension
Seriously
They are looking for people to send in observations of any animals that are eating the lantern flies.

Same and send that tonIndiana too

Official word from NWS is "Mist". We've had 100% humidity and mist since midnight. Not measurable in their rain gauge.
We had a land sprout tornado yesterday in Indiana, while extremely rare, we’ve had at least 3 such tornadoes this year.

A land sprout tornado is a tornado that doesn’t sprout from a thunder storm, they sprout from winds circulating fast enough at the ground level that they turn into a tornado that grows up to the clouds. Because of such, there is no warning and they aren’t usually picked up by radar until the debris hit

Will do. Looking at their site I only see a report sightings mapping. Trying to find a better contact...

Sounds like the Dust Devils we used to get out in the desert on a much grander scale.

Lantern flies? Lightening bugs?

Yeah they usually don’t get larger than an F1 or more than a hundreds yards wide, not last very long. But can still cause damages. The one yesterday lasted about 1/4 mile and was 50 yards wide. Damaged 16 homes.
