Stop in for a cup of coffee

World of Outlaws Sprints back on the West Coast tomorrow night. Sposed to be a couple shows, one at Hanford, one at Ocean/Placerville. Their schedule shows Placerville POSTPONED. Wonder what happened there? Just found answer to that question.

"For the second consecutive year, Placerville Speedway is becoming the base for regional California firefighting efforts, including a fire rescue camp, and thereby forcing the postponement of the Sept. 17 Bonney Plumbing 49er Gold Rush Classic to 2023.

The thoughts of the entire World of Outlaws family are with the firefighters and all of those affected by the fires throughout the area."

I remember those days. I had a lift gate and couldn't get a freight train in the truck but the same issues apply. One of the other Mac Dealers had a winch he could hook up to drag em' into the truck.
Yep my box’s all in dry weight, equals right at 2500 pounds. No idea what they weigh with tools in them. In my head I just doubled the weight. 400 pound locker holds 400 pounds of tools. Sadly due to my profession I have a lot of “heavier” tools and rigging. Doesn’t everyone have chain falls in their box’s?

All that orange......

Hemi is going to be very thankful

Wow !!! I hope your tires and axle is tuff enough, now that song will be stuck in my head :BangHead:

Thats some great work for one man, my back would be hollering at me tomorrow.

Hey. I'm debating pulling engine Trans from 67 to do underhood repaint touch-up. Or just remove what I can and work it out....leaving ingine installed. Don't know if I want to get that involved...

 I'm guessing that to be an extreme underestimation... My tool boxes are nowhere near that big and probably a lot less weight as that looks really heavy duty. But I am certain the tools in them are several times the weight of the box.

Bet it felt great getting back to it! Congrats!
It does but it’s also a bit emotional. Honestly not done anything to it since my grandfather died. It was the last thing we worked on together and the last time we were together, just 3 days before his passing.

Well it was such a beautiful night last night I had the shop door flung open and just relaxed. When it is those kind of nights I generally grab the dog and a blanket and sleep on the ground by a big willow tree we have. No dog, Hemi stayed in Ark this trip. I woke up to a windy bit of drizzle. Not enough to make me uncomfortable just enough to make me glad to be alive. It was pleasant but my body is telling me I am getting to old to sleep on the ground anymore. Finish packing today and road-trip starting tomorrow.
Reminds me of the time one of the younger fellows didn't heed the advice of the locals about dragging everything inside the tent overnight - including himself. LOL. When they said there's always a heavy dew they weren't kidding!
