Stop in for a cup of coffee

45 here this morning. Needed my hoodie for the dogs walk around the back pasture. Getting the car out and cleaned up for a show tomorrow.

Visit went good. They are asessing mom to see if its back to assisted living or personal care. Personal care i suspect, and hopefully we can get mom back into town.

back to work…
 
Speaking of Mom's, Mom's heavenly Birthday today. She would have been 96.

Going through similar with my Mom. She fell at her house back in March. She was sporadically having some dementia issues before hand but the bump on the noggin sent her over the edge. Cna's can't administer medications or nebulizer treatments so she went to rehab place that also does long term. The plan was for her to get through rehab then come to my house. Only thing she can really do is feed herself. I go over there a see her and she's usually in the coffee room with her new friends. I don't understand any of them but they sit, laugh, and giggle with each other like they're having a grand time. They have in-house beauty salon so she's gets haircuts/nail done etc. While I get frazzled over the situation, she's over there trying to get her sexy on. At this point I actually think it's better for her than home health care for the social environment. At this point, I would need skilled nursing 24/7 which also involves Social Services frequenting my house.

What he did was in violation of federal law. Interstate transporting of un documented immigrants...just saying...or not......who knows...

Probably but I just find the entire thing comical. I’m not saying i condone it or don’t condone it. Just made me laugh is all.

that said, maybe now we can get folks to work together for a positive solution on now that the problem is on the doorsteps of those in Ivory Towers. Kind of like how the perception of a war changes for a pilot when he’s on the ground and it’s all around him

Not much different. And this last episode fri/sat really set mom off, when we arrived at hospital where she was transferred to, mom was absolutely terrified. Took a couple days to get her back on track. Its hard.

So the squatters totally fubared my MIG. I can’t get it to pull from the reel. May have to just break down and buy the TIG I’ve wanted

No. Unless you are some kind of fanatic. Tig is a whole new animal,mig is multi position friendly, forget about tig welding upside down. Starting over, i’d be getting a miller.

so if drive motor is turning,either drive roll is incorrect for wire size or mis-aligned. Tip could be the issue, wire bound up in liner. Drive roll pressure is loose, or spool is not installed correctly
 
I think it may be... or hoping....it will at least be a wakeup call.

Yes it is, My mom has calmed somewhat but it was rough the first few months. That she was full of rage and hate would be a major understatement. Coming unhinged one moment and joking around a moment later.

New tip, and gun(they smashed the old one so I replaced it already) The spool spins freely, it’s something with the drive rolls, Pretty sure they’ve busted the tension adjuster, turning it in either direction does nothing. So it will feed if I manually pull some off but as soon as it gets the slack used up, it stops. Bottom drive roll, the motorized one, spins like it should but it’s not got enough tension on it to feed it.

Gonna call Lincoln Monday and see if they can get me a replacement.

I earn a living running a Tig upside down! Funny thing about pipe, ya gotta weld it all the way around! To Franks point Tig is a totally different creature. For our hobby MiG is much more adaptable and has a larger band for applications. But when ya need a Tig weld nothing else substitutes. PS I did not learn how to Tig overhead overnight!
