Which one did you go with? My favorite is the double oak. But a close second is Woodford ReserveI went to a fund raiser tonight, free cocktails and food. I walked up and asked the bartender for the house bourbon, and she said it was Woodford.
I liked it so well I stopped at the liquor store on the way home to buy a bottle. Much to my surprise there were like six to choose from.
I asked the clerk who is usually very helpful, but he wasn't sure. I told him I knew an expert in Iowa and we'll give him a call.
I made the call and @toolmanmike set me straight...thanks!!

Woodford Reserve straight bourbon. This one was a little stouter than what I had earlier. I had one when I got home told the wife I needed to pull the cork and have a drink to allow some air in the bottle....yea right, she said Hey it's what Mike said to do.
Overall I have about a 60% hearing loss some tones are 100% too close to a flashbang years ago.
A good friend of ours is an audiologist. He told the wife when says he doesn't hear you, he doesn't...haha lifelong pass.
I remind her at times.

LOL. It would be interesting to know what you drank earlier. I have the Bourbon, Double Oak, and Rye. I like the Bourbon best. Its only a 90 proofer. It always get's better/ milder once you get down to the shoulders of the bottle.
So close I was holding it. Turned out to be a faulty pin I was lucky in many ways.
It's a big boom like a quarter stick of dynamite blast.
I had used hundreds and used them again after this happened.
Luckily no one else was hurt.
