Stop in for a cup of coffee

Temps dropped from 42 down to 4 while I was out feeding the horses and putting coats on them. Just a little over an hour.
 
MIL got us an air fryer for Christmas, a real nice one. I’ve wanted one for years. But after two meals in a row with it, I’m not impressed at all. It’s gonna be a lot of trial and error
 
16 below here wind chill is 36 below so I think I'm gonna poor me a whiskey after working on the old truck.

Barn wood is kinda on still got to finish screwing it on and a few more coats of varnish then do the saloon doors in the back.
 
Dropping fast, wind chill around-40. thawed out some chili I made about 2 weeks ago. Warmed us up pretty good.

Turns out I've kept using the solenoid that was there - made in the USA.
The winding from the start terminal to NSS measured 19 ohms. The new ones measured 3 ohms. H'mmm.

Noticed the new chinesium ones don't have cad plating and use coarse threads.

Transfered the tabs over after cleaning with a fiberglass 'pen' and some De-oxit.

Not sure if I still have any, or where I hid them. Lol. Have used many times on printed circuit boards to prep for soldering
 
Kid’s car wouldnt start. Roadside assistance couldnt get it going. My son had just landed in wpg from work, and car wasnt far from airport. He spent about 3 hours and got it running. Saved me a trip to the city, and he brought us big macs. Good son.

I've given up on tracking the forecast this week. It changes by the hour so I figure I'll just look out the window.

Apparently we went from no precipitation... to rain... to a dusting of snow.... to 3 - 5 inches of snow all within the last 6 hours.

Yea I keep an eye on the temp. for the day but nothing I do is gonna change anything.
Could do an old native rain dance though but then I just make the precipitation worse. LOL

I found most of the time looking out the window is just as good or better than the weatherman's forecsast.

Kitty is on her second one. She loves the thing and so do I. It cooks really good.
 
Weather forecast for Detroit when we are supposed to go to Greenfield Village High 18 Low 9 wind 29mph, yippee! Wife said they may close it for health/safety reasons, would be a bummer because I wanted to see the Ford Museum etc.
 
Well the Jeep continues to put up a fight. But I’m close. If I can find a new tie Rod tube, I have a chance to have it done tomorrow before the storm hits

When my son had his 93 Wrangler we found a "Jeep Only" wrecking yard found pretty much anything we needed there. Not an uncommon vehicle, do you have any 4x4 specialties or wreckers nearby? Good luck!
