Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good morning ladies and gentlemen, 30 degrees this morning and high winds, 20 sustained and 35 mph gusts. I believe we get up to 55+ today, yesterday only got up to 37.

I almost ordered these parts yesterday, then I went digging deep into my boxed up parts
My truck looks white after all the driving on wet salted roads the last couple day, heading to the car wash early before it gets crazy in town.

I wake up often thanking God that all of my dreams are pleasant. I rarely have nightmares and I have friends who have night terrors. I feel blessed.
Same here, I very rarely have night mares, prayers and watching humble TV shows (old westerns) and keeping the mind on track contribute to that I believe, and prayer for sure

Morning checking in with a balmy 27 degrees
Good morning Pete, hope you enjoyed your Christmas and all you children and grandchildren during these last few cold cold days. Got bad here, but enjoyed my friends and family

I got an extra four in the house with the kids here from Florida.
My local granddaughter finally made it back from Oregon, so she's spending a couple nights.
My step granddaughter comes tomorrow and will be staying for four days.
A house full of kids fun times!!
Enjoy your time with them, but I don't know if I could last 4 days, I would have to hide out in a warm deer blind a couple times a day after two days for some time to reset and relax

Dads starting surgery. If you all could, toss up some prayers please. Lord knows I am.

Strength and healing will be in my prayers this morning for your dad Chris, wisdom be with the doctors and nurses there , have faith, I know your hart and mind will be tossed around today.

Thanks.

Todays also my oldest daughters birthday too. So we’re gonna try to celebrate it as best we can. We went ahead with her surprise trip to Gatlinburg since dads doctors said they’d prefer we’d not be there since we’ve had covid within the last 15 days. That’s their local policy for surgery wards. But we’re symptom free now for 6 days and outside the mask wearing, we were good to go.

Gonna take my kids to Dollywood today. And to Piegon Forge to the Dolly Partin tribute. My daughter is a HUGE dolly fan.

Yep. We drove in at sunset last night. I do feel guilty for not staying at home but dad and mom insisted we go ahead with the planned trip since dad won’t be able to have visitors anyway until tomorrow at the earliest plus the aforementioned covid stuff. Did get to talk to him on the phone last night and he got to talk to each of the minions. But still

No sir, never have, my older brother and his family has a couple times, he has passed away, along with all my other brothers. But I have been in the area.
You should go sometime. If you go in early May or late April, the prices are 1/3rd of what they are June-January. I think late May, there’s a Mopar classic car gathering.

Something I truly would love to do, especially late May , thank you Chris

One of my goals once the dart is dialed in, is to take it on the Tail of the Dragon. But it’s dangerous so the dart has to be fully prepped, and shaken down very well before I do that.

Thanks.

Check out the Smokey Mountain Knife shop while you are there it is amazing! Prayers for your family.

I am hiding in the instructors lounge this morning. We got a shop full of kinfolk! Our oldest boy drove down with his fiancé and her two kids for a surprise holiday visit. Once they all arise I will make the tribe some brekkie. Boy brought several rifles and pistols so should be a great visit. He drops his retirement package in April. His fiancé is also a E7 but looks like she may get bumped to an E8 this rotation. Should be a great week of visiting and getting to know the new fiancé. Jodi and I have never laid eyes on her before last night.
