Stop in for a cup of coffee

They have a good snow pack. Problem there I think is all the resevoirs are mountain, they're pretty full but they don't catch run off in lower areas so a lot is getting away plus you have to treat it due to contamination.

Was talking to Timmy about the Cali drought stuff. He had a brilliant idea actually. Where it runs out of LA in that channel to the ocean they should do some sore of flexible boom/dam to catch it and then use it for other purpouses.

I've seen a few come up locally on CL... I just can't get to love that car. Looks like a prop car from Green Lantern series ..
She said "different", Studebakers fit that bill real well  I had messed with enough Pontiacs to know it was going to be a tire eating muther if she set her mind to it . Funny thing, when I put those Hookers on the 2 bbl Teen in the Swinger, from the sound you would think that I had made another stop at Crower Cams. Countless people told me "Man. How big is that camshaft in there? That sounds Badass." Headers, turbo mufflers pipes just over the diff, and the biggest Rallys I could fit in the back with matching skinnies on the front was what she got.

Man what a PIA. I have been trying to get gravel for the container site for a month. 4 no shows. WTF?

The Army Corps of Engineers is making sure we have no retained water in this valley. In the recent past/last 5 years they decided a local flood control dam needed some renovation so the outlets on that reservoir are wide F'in open. Good thing they beefed up the levees bout 15 years ago

I should put some good exhaust on mine. I still have the factory single y pipe split into duals by the previous owner. I had to replace the mufflers and we had a hard time finding clean metal to weld them to.

.What's the snow like up in the mountains?
None local, no nights cold enough for that yet. What I saw down south while on the trip to AZ, the snow looked pretty good, the Sierras have got a bunch. The operators at Mammoth Mtn project they will be running the ski lifts until July 4th  I skiied Mammoth on Memorial Day Weekend once, the scenery was awesome :D:p:D I still have this sneakin' hunch the local grape vineyards are gonna get snow covered sometime this winter, all the way down here at 400' above sea level  Makes them grape farmers nutz

Happy MLK day to all. I haven't seen a participant or an observant of such holiday at all in about 3 months. Not at all in Vietnam.

Haha. Just parked at the huge True Value in town. It's been around forever... wandering around looking at cool stuff
We still have a couple hardware stores in the area. I shop there whenever I can. Our store up the street went out of business when the owner retired. I tried to keep him in business best I could. Lawn mowers, snow blowers, gas grill's, humidifiers, paint, rental equipment etc. It was 10 blocks away and I could usually park not far from the door.

Wow the guy in the picture is a friend and sent me this pict

have dealt with some really good True Values. Usually best hardware and random stuff selection. Out closest one here is more focused on rental business. Another not too far is good, but tends to run higher on prices than box stores or even Ace(which is less than 5 min away). So generally only go there when looking for oddball stuff.

Well the hardware store trip caught me off guard, remodeled and moved Everything. I haven't been in there in a couple months, will take a trip in there when I have more time to relearn. Vice is an improvement even though I mounted it too close to edges to get support under it the way I intended, but fortunately the construction of the bench is solid.

My Little Chief smoker just crapped out, will probably buy new one there even if a few dollars more than big box stores (which I hate). When it was time to sell our house that Ace Hardware saved my *** from oddball parts for the hot tub to plumbing etc. kitchen/bath and more. There's a gal that works there, if I can't McGuyver something together in my mind she usually finds 2 options that I didn't think about and she knows where the material is, don't get that at HD.
