So got my new *** plug screwed down to a jury rig stand and 8 coats of a nasty wax and 2 coats of mold release just waiting to dry before I start fiberglassing.
I got to tell you guys I never made me an *** before. :wtf:

Could be worse. Making the mold from your own butt. Then you really would have made an *** of yourself!!

Got a neighbor kid due over here at 2pm, going to clean the gutters, at least where he can set a ladder to reach them. I asked him what he wanted for payment, he said $10 an hour. He's never done gutters and mine will involve spraying water onto the runners to wash pinecones/needles down, he'll be soaked when he's done. I told him it's a hard job, dangerous and that he's getting more than he's asking to do the work.

Rear cab mount in place. Cut it off old chassis, hammer fit into s10 chassis. Need to get the height/ square/level correct and weld it in. Enough for today, and out it goes until February.

Carbon fiber isn't that much different than fiberglass but I do know the strands of hardened carbon fiber is one of the worse slivers I've ever had.

What or how do you get something like that out, sounds like surgery.

Frank what year/model is your project, is this the Studebaker going on S10 chasis, I can't keep track : (

The big, old school hardware store finally had my 1/4 x 28 nut I was looking for. (Love that place but it's just out of the way)

Everything back together. Dang that park sprag spring is a PITA to have remain in the retention slot while.(Karl) guiding the shaft into the housing...while on your back

Dang I'm laughing writing that

Back on track after that delay.

So I am now being bombarded by ads when I come to FABO I know there was some discussion on the topic a day or so ago but I did not really read the resolution as I was not experiencing the issue. I darn sure am now. What a total PITA. I have tried turning device off and back on for reset but it did not get rid of them.

Way to battle through it! I had an unexpected battle changing implements on my tractor today. With pressure released on the hydraulics I still couldn't get the couplers to connect. Ended up removing the fittings from the grapple side which released pressure, not sure why there was pressure, temperature maybe. Anyhoo, cleaning off plumbers tape, breaking apart connectors which were torqued like a Mo frer. All that and I moved one small tree and a few branches I coulda got with my bare hands, geeze.

These guys work all day long, approximately 10 hours for about 25 bucks a day. And they work hard. In the heat and humidity. Lol.

I went to the thread Toolman sent me the other day about pop ads and posted my problems. Next day they were gone. I'm not sure if it was Joey or who but they're gone and my FABO world has returned to normal...or as normal as it can be.

Went sight seeing in the next village down the beach. There's a SpaceX launch scheduled for early Thursday morn from south Vandenberg SFB and I wanted to see what the viewing sites might be like and Weather Service says 12' breakers on the beach  . Muddy mess is about all I can say for the easy viewing areas accessible to the public. 6'-10' breakers at the beach, I was hopin for the 12-14 footers they predicted earlier. On the way back to the house I stop at a little coffee drive thru I usually hit when I in the area. Double espresso then fill the cup with the house coffee. Good stuff they got. Remember the big McDonalds burnt coffee crotch fiasco? Coffee Time had McD's well covered today, it was 15 minutes before I could even think about taking a sip

I tried that when I was a kid and lived at the beach. Never was any good at it  Bought a board with my saved up allowance money even. Gave the board to my daughter when she was in her teens, she enjoyed the heck out of it even in this coldass water we have up here

So from a butt plug to a butt mold and as always with my luck a pile of pin holes. this is my 5th time making a mold and always trying to keep the cost down just adds more labor but I work cheap. lol

Yea Cold there? come on over for a real cold one. lol

I don't think the sea water round here ever gets much over 61 or 62° even in summer. The warm southern water takes a westward turn at the point down the coast.
