Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
Good Morning and agree on the coffee need lol! I work for a power company and we have ICE tech's in our hydro-electric plants, was wondering if you did that kind of work (or did). Just curious about your screen name I guess

Nope.. although my dad was pissed i didn't join IBEW local 58... :) It's just a reference to neuromancer

Here's a final pic of those trees, wind and snow yesterday, again glad I got them staked quickly. Will have to fence around them in late August or the the deer will take them out lol!

What kinda trees? I need some like that on one side. .....but no Leyland Cyprus.

If the damm Cal smog inspection law had just waited till '77 :BangHead:
I actually like all those cars like that. The Super Coupe, Aspen R/T, Road Runner, all of um. They were good lookin cars. Better lookin than anything the other automakers were makin at the time.

These are Leyland's. Planted these along with Excelsa Cedars in the back, the cedars grow fast as well, look a little better imo
The Leylands are VERY susceptible to a disease where they get brown spots on them and then they start to die and there's not much you can do for um. We lost two BIG ones several years ago. Of course after the fact, I find that out. Cedars are much robust......supposedly. Also, location might have something to do with it. I think being so humid down here has something to do with it. Good luck with um.

I agree and read about that, happens often during transplanting and I'm concerned about that as picked up the first one with strap around trunk....stripped the bark and had to put goop over that. Also opened up the wire and burlap on a few of them which let the dirtball come apart exposing the roots, pretty sure I shocked them. Bought some 10-10-10 fertilizer for them yesterday, hoping that helps them pull through.

This happened to ours YEARS after they were planted. They started getting small brown spots. I thought they were little bugs at first. We treated them and everything. Had the Ace Hardware come out and help where I bought them. Nothing helped. They were brown and DEAD MEAT in two weeks. They were both about 40 feet tall and around 15 feet wide. I'm lookin at Spartan Junipers now, but trees are expensive.

No Valentine’s Day here, Jodi is at court today with the oldest. He is in a nasty custody battle. We decided to celebrate Friday when she is back home. I will make a nice meal, pour a bottle of good red and we will sit on the porch looking over our pastures at the moon coming up over the mountains. I took this pix on last full moon, from our deck.
