Nearly done with all the stuff on the GTS. The only things left are mounting the new rear tires, installing the rear shackles and front alignment. Hopefully I will have it back by the weekend...early next week at the latest (waiting on shackles to arrive).
Here's the complete list of what I'm doing...
Power front disc brake conversion kit
Cragar 1/2” front wheel spacers
New rear brake shoes, hardware and drums
Flush and replace brake fluid
Moroso 7/16” RH wheels studs and lug nuts-all 4 wheels
New tie-rod end boots, inner and outer and lube
New 225/60/14 BF Goodrich T/A tires on rear
Adjustable Mr. Gasket rear spring shackles with 2” lift (1” at rear axle)
Front wheel alignment
Repair and adjust emergency brake cable
Replace water pump heater hose barb and hose
Install new HD battery-body ground strap

Just doing what I do
Exactly what I'm hoping for. With the weak brakes (front drums were totally shot) and the iffy steering link, I haven't gone more that 20-30 miles at a time since I got her last Summer and only had her up to highway speeds once for about 20 miles.
I spent all of my time and effort getting the drive train in top condition last Summer/Fall and now it's the suspension and brakes.
She should be ready to rock-n-roll anywhere I want to take her now.

I'd take her for a road trip to Carl's Jr or Hardee's. Id really like a wicked double cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onions, bacon and jalapeños. . And some crispy nasty fries. And a root beer float. And a cherry pie. Maybe a side of chicken nuggets with honey mustard...

I think I am at my wits end for girls.
Locally I have taken a few girls "under my wing" and hoped so bad it would work out and they would become world class automobile techs ......but they keep disappointing me.
Hardly any of them are truly into the CAR.
