Stop in for a cup of coffee

They may, but that is a long ways away to break something. If I trailered the car maybe, but driving it makes me worry. Also, then there would be tons of people see me make 200hp
Yup.
And you don't learn a lot in that situation.
Fresh plugs and run at the track. Look at the plugs and make a change if there is time.
If not, at least you got a baseline and had some fun. Driving a quick car at the track well takes some time to get.
I sure didn't do a great job the last time I went.

So yesterday I needed mor zinc plating solution, wife thought I was nuts came in grabbed the Epson salts and Corn syrup for it. Super easy to do.

run at the track
I'll say that even at a drag strip, if I didn't have a buddy there I was a little more cautious, and did not make changes.
Only had to leave the car at a track once, and yes it was one of those long stories. Fortunately my former coworker helped me out of staging and drove me home. Then the next day (Sat) got the parts together and someone, I think a coworker who lived closer to me, dropped me off at the track. Or maybe I drove myself and got a buddy to come back and pickupo the otehr car later. I can't remember!

It's Thunderbolt Thursday!

Good morning :D Weather Service says we do actually have a chance of thunderstorms in the higher elevations :realcrazy:
June Gloom here

Score!

So get the parts in for the mower deck at JD. They called. OK get the deck off, chain it to the bucket forks lift it up pressure wash it life is good. Look it over really well notice one blade is a bit off. Check it out the spindle bearings are shot. On all three spindles. Never ends but better now than later in the year. Not cheap!
Hopefully just bearings. They are relatively cheap, just a bit of work. As long as they still turn, probably no spindle damage. If they lock up and spin in the housings your f'd. :BangHead:

Just ordered three new ones. Prob re bearing the old ones as a spare. Second time in 15 years. First time two of the bases cracked but I was beating on it in the hops field also.

Kind of funny we have this bird that comes back every year and flies into the windows alot. Think it needs glasses.

Yup Ken at the farm yard ordered them for me. Hell of a discount 90 for three. Bearings are 45 with the seals.
Mines running pretty quiet, so probably all good. But should get the deck off clean and check it out good. I think last time it got a little rough I just did bearings. Previously changed spindles and a couple pulleys. That time it was sounding like something was gonna fly apart. Actually I think a double pulley did... LOL

I think this old wreck of a body I have here must have finally coughed up whatever bacteria or virus that has been assaulting me for the last 9 days. I actually feel mostly normal. My voice has returned and I'm actually hungry.

They do get beat up. I grease mine a few times also in season. Basically the spindles and two idler pulleys. Have a spare set of blades I need to sharpen today on that machine we did you chain saw on. Love Foley Belsaw.
