Very slow rotation and gradually... honing oil and minor increase in tension as I go.

So I randomly pulled a plug after normal 30 miles of driving. In town, on highway, then the burnouts.
I had 21 years of "follow instructions" training.

Well dang, my quick seagull management overview has come to an end, I got to crack the books and start studying for this week. You would think, what on earth is there to study from a book to teach a Carbine class? I assure you a whole bunch, words mean something! Hah! There are book upon book and you tube after you tube on how to run a carbine. And I can assure you every single student is an expert, and most likely a HALO/ Ranger/Delta Force/Marine Scout Sniper, Airborne combat Vet with tours spanning from Vietnam to Desert Storm! Just ask them.

Yep! And that is exactly why we are what we are! Hah! Totally sane perfectly well adjusted normal society following humanoids! O wait my glasses are falling off as it appears my nose is growing!
If the OP did what most of us men do,then. If all else fails read and follow the instructions.
Sort of like Christmas Day assembling the toys .

Brought the Duster out of hibernation. Was washing my other car, so blasted all the pollen off it with the pressure washer. No point in cleaning it good. Paint is a mess. Several areas pealed etc. Started up pretty easy. Thought I would do nice jaunt down the road. Got a half mile out and there's a buggy every hundred yards. 
That's the only road close that I can get on it a little, After about 3 of them I just turned around.

4. Reread instructions
5. Conduct practice/ simulation of tool operation
6. Execute initial pilot...
7. After action review
8. Adjust/ modify approach
9. Begin actual use
Runs to town just eat the day... 1 hour of driving round-trip plus 2 or 3 stops usually.

Anymore I buy two of the same two and return the unused one when the speciality item it was needed on is finished. Saves me so much time for that same reason
I get the ethanol free stuff in Martinsburg, only one near me.
