Stop in for a cup of coffee

Great. My daughter has been having issues since the birth. She had an epidural and hasn't been able to walk on her own since the birth on the 19th. They're telling her that she will be ok, and have Physical Therapists coming to her home twice a week.

That must be a rough experience. Giving birth is a seriously dangerous undertaking. Nearly lost my wife and our firstborn at the same time.

Geez ... My last post was on page 1957. Backlogged to page 1981. That's half the age of rock'n roll. Oh, well. At least I know what I'll have to do today ...

Had a FANTASTIC weekend out in the summer house. Clear blue sky, very little wind and 73 F. Good company - our good friends/my wife's colleague from Norway and his family - Champagne and I bought a moped!

Our neighbor out there was washing her moped when I was out for a run, said she was selling it. I expressed interest and she came by. They had trouble getting it started after sitting for 4 years. She was eager to get rid of it so she said I could have it for $125. I said I'd take it sight unseen for that price.

Great Score!

We walked over and settled the deal. She included a really beefy motorcycle lock and chain, Givi case and a bottle of Motul 2-stroke oil.

I rolled it home, filled the tires and choked the engine to fill up the carb and it ran just fine! Smoke for a minute or two.

So the kids, 13 and 11, spent the evening riding back and forth on our little private road.

Get this. It had 67 km on the odo ... That's 40 miles. She paid $1,700 for it. I didn't take a pic but it's one of these, with the Givi case on the back.

Yes it could ! I just got an alert on my phone and had to go direct traffic just up the road, a truck and a ATV :( it don't look good from where I was (200 yards away stopping trafic) some Bikers helped me out getting cars to turn around ..
ATV:s really have no business driving on the road. Lethal. Why? Because they're essentially poorly handling motorcycles that don't require a motorcycle license.

Looks like I had a similar day to most of you guys. Had an early Mother's Day brunch at home with my wife and daughter followed by doing bills and then spent the entire afternoon ripping out the badly overgrown and poorly placed hedges along the front of the house. 9 large shrubs in all, ripped out to the roots, chopped up and disposed of...oh my aching back and knees.

Beer time now, and looking at the comparison pictures of now vs. when I bought the place in December...

That place looks huge!

Good Monday Morning FABO !!

Going Turkey Hunting this Morning . Haven't been able to get out recently, with all the rain comin down.

g'morning - my f-in coffee maker chit the proverbial bed - sittin' here havin' instant coffee with hot chocolate in it.. and I woke up at 3 and never fell back to sleep.. so I'm still 'tard..

Good morning ....Happy Monday !!!!

bright sunny day ahead over here ...todays high is 75 and I have a lot of stuff to do.

I like busy days, because they run smoother than boring days IMO

Good morning, folks!

Measured my drive shaft angles this morning. My Transmission is angled down 2.5* and the rear pinion is down 0.5*. Crap. I guess that means I'll need to re-weld the leaf spring mounts on the rear axle?

are you inboarding the perches?

Is 1.5* an acceptable drive shaft angle? The angle btw drive shaft and slip yoke, that is. (Same as btw drive shaft and rear pinion)

hi Anders - sounds like you had a heck of a good weekend - neat little scooter - and CHEAP!

Hi Mike, Yeah, I'm real happy with the deal. Not sure who will be using it though ...

are you inboarding the perches?

I'm not planning on moving them just yet so I wasn't going to cut them off ...

I have a new thread idea but I think I need to write it down on a word document before I post it in published form ......it is going to be a series that year by year dissects the differences in these cars and WHY

a point of view as seen from a customer, assembly line worker, design engineer, and Plant management. of a given year discussed.

kinda weird that we have an "early A" forum but no other category for the rest.

I am tired of people grouping generically 67-76 when 73- 6 or "late A's" as I call them are a totally different creature

So early would be an A. The newer A+?

you could actually say that because the 67-72 are the money cars ....meaning they are worth the most.

I hear early A guys say they like their early cars because the value is low and the cars are easily had for cheap ......then 67-72 we get really expensive cars .......then 73-6 we get the same effect as the early stuff in that they are not worth much and can be had for cheap like my 500 dollar 75 dart LOL
