Highly doubt it when I have a good excuse for not being there now! The cobalt is not right, the pop has a bad vc leak, truck maybe will make it then there is the firechicken!

Indeed it is. And I just cut it Saturday. On another note , I was at the Farm, Turkey Hunting with my Good BIL, and the grass there is already waist high. I pushed the responsibility of the Farm Maintenance onto my Idiot BIL last winter, after he backdoored me on a deal and wanted to be Large and Incharge .
you got backdoored by a BIL - ewww.....

the thing I need to find out because I keep getting different answers

a 63 A-body only came from the factory with slant sixes ....Soooo to put a V8 in, would you need to modify the firewall or is it ok as is .

someone said you need to dent the firewall in to clear the distributor on a small block and someone else said it's cool to go as is.

which one is right??

the good thing about running a slant six Is you can be cheapo like I am and leaving the 7 1/4 LOL
I had all the fun I wanted for 6 years on the road with my slant, it has been near two years of saving monies to get this far, but I guess it was worth it, I can't wait to feel and hear that 360 cackling threw the new super comp fender well headers as I creep around town, no more sneaking up and down the drive way

63 threw 66 are the same, they did have V8's in them, and I see a bunch of early A's out there with V8's in them with no mod's needed, so I say no dents needed unless you go with the Big Dizzy cap like the GM style

I am surprised Meme's held up like it did.
It did a great job becouse I hammered it good many times here on the hill and the track, little sucker ran great, but I did have to put bearings on the axles after I put 15k on her, best 1/8 10:47 while shifting on the tree , not to shabby for a 170 C.I.

not so much better years I think, but from what I have heard the 225's are more desirable than the 170's - size matters and all that.. but it would be interesting to know if certain years are better than others and why...

When I got Victoria she was all stock one barrel, I did all of this to her and she enjoyed the fresh cool air and 390 Holley with split manifolds

Oh I would have loved to have more displacement !! 225 would have got me into the high 9's I bet.

Just wondering if 66 was a good one.
Didn't you know 1966 was the best in everything  170 is a shorter stroked engine, they quit making it in 66 and went to the 198, witch is best I think, but ol Bill Deadman (and a few other old member would be the men to ask)

Thanks, just wondering what to do with it, still have the 74 but hopefully it will go to Keith next weekend.
