Stop in for a cup of coffee

Garage is cleaned up again after yesterday's work. Still hot in there.

273 is tucked away for the time being and the 318 is on the engine stand for the water pump and intake swaps.

We got 70° here this afternoon. When I got up to inspect the lavatory this morning about 03:00 my furnace was in operation with the thermostat set as low as it will go

Well sounds like your schedule of events are the same as mine and yea funny how that works but 53* this morning here.

I don't know much Tike on what it takes but from what I understand you need a pilots license before you can get a drone license.
Not in canada, have to complete a comprehensive course. Imagine if all the drone pilots needed a pilots licence, would ground 99% of them. Speculating but im sure a licence now is $15 to $20,000

I like Ian. Been watching him for a bunch of years. Very talented and great vision. Some builds are a bit out there for me, but cool. Gene is amazing. 150 yrs old (actually 96) and chopping tops live at events in front of crowds.
I’ve been trying to go to one of Genes workshops since 2018, they’re either full up or when I have Guard or when Covid hit.

Don't know much about it Frank but don't think the government is going to let you fly a $30,000 drone around without spending lots of money to do that.
Speculation on my part I really have know idea.

If I recall right, the FAA requires a license for everything about 200 ft AGL.

That is how it starts my friend, next thing you know ya got three cars in the drive, waiting on engines! It is a black hole. Much worse than a boat!

Fortunately, I don't have the space for more than one at a time... but yeah... it could easily get stupid fast.

And a certain weight. I recall that. I xan only fly mini drones around my property. The larger gps equipped ones wont fly here without a permit. Im less than a mile from airport.

Man i am beat.. worked 11 hours, then 5 more hours in the garage.. i will say i HATE painting red in a engine bay.. last bay i did was hemi orange and i did it in the sun and it was awesome.. I hope it's not just me but shooting red it was like once i had some down i couldn't see **** for how it was flowing and such.. it just sort of melts into a giant sea of red. Had some big *** led lights trying to help.. but wish i had sunshine :) anyway.. it's shot.. praying i did it right.

Spent 3 hours sanding the 2k high fill with 400, made it baby smooth.. then wiping it down kept leaving little bits of something all over it (i was using rubbing alcohol and think it was pulling up some primer, jut enough to make it weird..) switched to some 25 year old "Acryli-clean" and it cleaned it right up.. gonna be sad if that gallon ever runs out.
Shot 1 more coat of 2k primer.. then read bout the wait time for color, said i could do it in 30 mins or so when it flashes.. or let it dry the sand it again and shoot color.. No way was i sanding it again.. so i shot it.

Got the gun working 1000x better than it did with the primer.. That being said i miss my old Devilbiss, i don't see the advantage to gravity feed and the gun it insanely tall with the regulator and filter attached.. getting the back of the shock towers was a *****.
I've got some orange peel which is making me mad but will let it dry good for awhile then fix that. Can see it at the front of the apron..

What gun you using

This.. and the gun is fine, i'm just not used to it. If i did it again i would buy a small touch up gun for small spaces. Once i got the gun working it flowed nice, i just couldn't see well
