Stop in for a cup of coffee

what alerts? like little pop ups in front of you on the screen? or the red #ered alert where it says alert at the top of the page?

Good morning. Great pics of Mopars and Lift Day II. Nice how you had a chance to beer-bond first with Lift Day I.
Quiet day here. Long day yesterday doing a private party at the restaurant. Imagine 17 dining room staff to serve 38 people, all working 8 hours on our normal day off. Our boss would rather give the staff a reason to grumble at his stupidity so then he can yell and say "whoever doesn't like it, you know where the door is." Instead of just figuring out I need x amount of people and posting a sign up sheet for volunteers. Plenty of people WANTED to work, but with the right amount of staff to share the gratuity so everyone would make decent money.

In bird news, the four cardinal are stretching their wings now! I'll try and get a good pic later today when the sun hits the nest~

too bad they weren't judging properly at the show Dave went to - I think he would have gotten something.. in a sea of mostly same same, his stood out as pretty different..

Just happened to have an Extinguisher in the truck, although they didn't ask. Need to make sure I put one in all the other hot rods !!

I was surprised when he said they were looking for volunteers to judge. the show was put on by 'Historical Car Club ? ' I would expect them to have qualified judges. Otherwise you might as well do peoples choice. There were a lot of nice cars there including some very old ones.

sure enough - pretty much boils down to peoples choice at that point.. I would have passed on the judging too. Hey, good day right!? F-it

Well....Time to go cut and trim the lawn...Before it rains AGAIN !! tomorrow.

Congratulations on the trophy, Mitch! Don't think I know the truck that won it. I guess I'll go and browse your pictures to see if I can find it.

Just back from the neighboring city of Alingsås, 20 minutes away. Went there with the two big kids to renew their passports. When I got there, I had forgotten my wallet. Showing my ID is kind of mandatory so I had to either turn back home or call my wife so she could drop it off.

Called the wife. Went for a "fika" (look it up) with the kids. Then all five of us - the wife had picked the little one up on her way - waited at the police station. Sofia was in her pyjamas because that's how she wanted to go this morning (I don't pick those fights any longer).

Since we ran a little later than planned we decided to eat out while we were in Alingsås. Turned out to be a very nice and memorable evening with the family, completely unplanned.

You mean "fika"? Nah, it's not the coffee. It's coffee with a pastry, often a cookie or a cinnamon roll. And it's a break. And it's a social thing.

The coffee itself is usually ordinary drip. Except it's like five times stronger than the crap you guys drink.

whew - the crap we drink keeps me up if I have more than two... I can't even imagine - be sure though - that would fika me up...
