Ahh.. they still make it.. just changed the chassis and sale page... BTW.. you just tell it how thick the metal is you are welding.. how thick of wire and go.. you can tweak settings if you want but it's pretty dead on out of the box

for the price... don't care.. i used up a 300cf and a 150cf tank with it (a lot of welding) and it has been flawless... worth every penny
I had a old HTC Versamig which was a expensive bastard and a lincoln/hobart.. i prefer this little welder more

BTW.. tonight i learned that trans rebuild kit doesn't come with thrust or fiber washers.. glad mine are in great shape and i didn't trash em

Duke, i used to have a big welder, when i started doing this car i bought a little like $300 welder off amazon and i am in love.. the new welders (on a angle grinder) and it made it absolute cake... BTW.. flux you can't get low enough for sheet metal and it makes a mess.. (i assume you are doing bodywork? I cam in late and didn't read back)
This is the welder i got. they prolly have a updated version.. did a bunch of research before buying it and have been super happy.. got rid of my old big *** welder..

My flux core gets plenty low enough . It just perfect. My MiG will blow right through

k.. then nevermind i tried a fluxcore first and it woudn't get near low enough and just destroyed more than welded

Flux core isn't good for much. Especially sheet metal.

Can it be hit with the grinder afterwards? or sanding disk? Always concerned I'm going to clog the stone up.

Yea clogs up the sanding disc but not near the warping on sheet metal so more bondo or more sanding discs.

Hey guys. So people are strange. A lady comes Over three times a week to help Simone s mom. Anyway she ran over a curb last night. 2024 kona and. She blew tire and ruined wheel. And she bent the lower control arm. She asked me to look at it. Needs replaced. Found part local for 140 dollars. 60 miles away. I told her I could fix it for 200 dollars. She said I was taking advantage of her. WTF. IM not getting involved in this repair. Damn

Hit the agree button on that Mike but needs a double don't do flux core on sheet metal you want to keep from warping.

37 bucks at the local parts store and two minutes to swap it
