Don't look under my hood.
That's not an issue Wolfie... the purists would stroke.out looking at the hood scoop and tach.
Your car is sneaky badass.

Don't look under my hood.
Sure did.
That's too heavy for automotive strippers. You should go to Klein or the like.Ok, @toolmanmike I need a good set of wire strippers. For 10-2 wire. My 10 dollar pair sucks on that wire for some reason
Wait till you see the air cleaner I just picked up for it.

Yep, I would leave old patina before grabbing a can of black paint, wouldn't you ?Wow, the black engine compartment paint hate runs deep in here.
Oh now now, I can't remember.... let's see , I will show you my mess.
Don't look under my hood.
Of course.Nice, but too common for me,
I didn't. I only have 1 stall to work out of and that's the stall my wife parks her car in. My 66 spent the winter in the garage while I rebuilt my 273. When it was together on the stand it was time to get it in and out of my (her) hair. I popped the hood and thought to myself, no way am I going to put that new mill in that old rusty hole. I scuffed and sanded, primed and painted it with a couple cans of John Deere gloss black. It looked good and much better than the rusty scuzz that was there before. It's a project I should have started earlier but not much time.Yep, I would leave old patina before grabbing a can of black paint, wouldn't you ?

Started putting my trans together tonight, all gong well.. i'm using a book for reference since it's been decades since i have done one, i start doing the output shaft, get it all cleaned, new rings on.. all that, check the planetaries and all that.. good stuffs. the book which has had super detailed pics of everything up til now literally says "Assemble in reverse order of disassembly.." WTF?! If i had an actual memory i wouldn't even need the damn book.
That being said, all in spec so far.. original thrust washers look like they were never ran even. The A&A servo though.. came with a small sheet of directions that look like a copy of 300 copies, can't read it at all
no, didn't know bout it and never heard of j par... Gonna watch yoshis videos tonight for refreshing.. he has a very detail 727 rebuild series..Have you looked at J Par's thread?

haha you aren't wrong.. i used to just dive into **** and look at it and do it, now i stress over every little thing when i work on itThat's because at 20 the male cerebral cortex is not fully developed and that is where we manage risk... so yeah... turns out our parents were right and we didn't have a link of sense

I had plenty of sense. It just wasn't common. That's because at 20 the male cerebral cortex is not fully developed and that is where we manage risk... so yeah... turns out our parents were right and we didn't have a lick of sense

Some things never change. Even with age..
