Stop in for a cup of coffee

I see alot of roads around here that say "Old Route 66"... I can't believe that all of them are/were Route 66...

It's kinda like back in the mid 80's when there were 4 times as many Chevelle SS's registered than Chevy ever made....
Route 66 went through dozens of realignments between 1926 and 1960. Especially in Illinois and Missouri, so there are tons of roads that are rather short that can claim they were part of Route 66. Once you get south of St Louis, it firms up a bit. But there’s small route changes from the very original route all the way to the pier in Santa Monica

Just got back from my short motorcycle ride around my neighborhood. Sure is boring not being able to go very far. But getting used to the bike pretty well now. I'll be ready to take it out on the big road as soon as I get the tires on it.

I just got a text from John's wife Jodi. He's out of surgery and the surgery went very well. His arm is on a nerve block so no pain yet.

Thinking about my Arkansas cousin today, I know he is out of it and staying still as possible, may all your bathroom trips go smooth, one thing that of many that was tuff.

Stay strong John @Sublime one

I'm hoping to drive the Valiant out to MIP next year. I went two years ago. Just wasn't able to stay long. Still a good time.
