Hey Hoppy. Looks like the pulleys are gonna work. Maybe have to tweak the p/s a hair, but looks good..

Can't see it...pic not working

Not that fat, but a lot wider than what was on it. 215 70 14. Will be same on back. Near 9" wide with about an 8 inch footprint. Just have this one on so far. Should get the rest mounted tonight.

Chrysler engineering is notorious for optimizing runner length. On the Modern 5.7L and 6.4L engines they use active intakes that switch between short and long length to optimize either HP or TQ at different RPM. (long for TQ, short for HP)

They may have swapped sides to get longer length and more TQ.

Volkswagen VR6 engine applied this technology back in '99. When did Chrysler?

Chrysler has been applying this to automobiles since the late 1950's (prior to that it was on tanks and aircraft during WWII). The Cross Ram intakes were the first versions to make it to automobile production post-war. These were all fixed runner length optimization while the active intake systems were first applied in the early '90s. It first appeared on the '93 3.5L V6 EGE engines.

Went down to a local pub to see a friend of my youngest play. I am too old to enjoy all this headbangig screaming!

good Friday morning to yas all!! Anders - it makes back reading the thread SO much easier!! LOL - but you do gotta wonder where everyone went....

haven't seen Ters in ages - no OMR yesterday, Hoppy was light with the posts, Ben must be chasing his own tail for once.. even Keith, Karl and Mitch were a bit light on the replies yesterday - come to think of it, Rani, Ramie, M1 and M2 did the ol' fly by thing too... no Lefty Tim... for us east coasters' it's because it has finally gotten nice enough out that it be time to get 'er done! I have been coming home after work and heading straight out to the garage to "turn wrenches" - by the time I get cleaned up (notice Ben I decided NOT to mention showering here...) and eat, it be Z time...

That's pretty much where it's at. Been catching up with the yard work. Before going for my tires last night I did a bunch of weeding. (In PA that still means removing unwanted plants from the ground)

Good morning!

Back when i drank we would have bush parties all the time go out in the country do some 4 wheeling then have a huge bonfire till morning. Go for breakfast then go home and sleep all day. lol
I vividly remember being out in the woods with a big *** fire going in January - it was so cold that you had to stand fairly close to the fire and turn after 10-15 min to warm up your back side.. drink and repeat to the front - drink and repeat... LOL

Hey, I think I was there!

Good morning, Mike, Keith and Ben!

Just came back from a meeting with the Principal at a local high school. Looks like I'll be attending soon!

It's part of my rehabilitation. Ramping up eventually, hoping to be a fully licensed teacher in a couple of years.

And to think I swore never to study anything again after university...

That could be fun. What subject do you plan to teach?

Teaching can be both challenging and rewarding. Good luck with the career change..
Thanks!
Yeah, I'm not hoping for a walk in the park but anything is better than going back to engineering. If you don't have your health, you don't have anything.
