Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good Morning everyone. Up at 6am, took a coffee and the dog out to water the yard before work. Momma Duck is still sitting on her eggs, she hasnt moved much in the last 2 days? maybe a sign something is about to hatch.
 
HAHAHAHA. No lol Coffee is sacred, and the Dog is on patrol for squirrels, lol I like my eggs scrambled and my steak RARE.

I see people dump the last few sips of their coffee and wonder HOW they can consciously do that... what'd ya make it for if ya ain't gonna drink it!!?

Full moon tomorrow...you can tell people are getting amped up. Last night a father was letting his 4 yr old run amuck in the lounge at work, manager asked him to control his child, ended up getting irate and complaining to the hotel management. Then we have a large party coming next week who not only is bringing all their own wine, they don't want to pay corkage because "our group is spending a substantial amount at the hotel." Well, yes, everyone spends a lot of money to stay here, you are not special!

Don't come to an expensive place in a gated resort that has an award-winning wine list and a sommelier and bring your own bottles for your large party to save money, and especially don't try to weasel out of paying the fee the place charges to discourage this practice and recoup a little of the money we lose, not to mention you're using our stemware and staff to serve your wine.
 
yea - that's some whacked out stuff right there... if you're gonna go to a nice place - bring the ching so you can friggin' enjoy it!
 
Our sommelier was getting all upset and wanting to fire off a long diatribe about corkage...I told her don't, just reply with a brief "our policy is necessary to maintain our standards. As an alternative to the corkage fee, we will assist you in choosing appropriate wines from our award-winning list. Thank you for your understanding."

Is it cold in Regina these days? If it is, she wouldn't want to leave the eggs for more than a minute or so.

In Sweden you usually have a pretty decent list of wines - many quite good - sold by the glass these days. Just a few years ago it would be just the one crappy House Wine.

Stemware is a new term to me. I suppose it means glasses on stems. Thank you, David.
