Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
Thoreau got it right. We allow ourselves to become slaves of technology.
People I work with insist on starting at 6:30 AM even though with DST there's no light until after 7 AM. I told 'em - I'll see you when the sun comes up.
Thoreau is one of my absolute favorite writers. His prose is like a beautiful flowing painting.

What coffee maker are you using, maybe the issue is with it?
Works perfect from what I see. The paper filters drain so slow the filter fills up and can overflow. It makes a mess inside the machine and there's grounds in the coffee when that happens. I tried the reusable filter and it drains so fast that the coffee doesn't get wet around the edges, just in the middle where the spout is. It's crazy because I never paid attention to any of my other coffee makers to see if they did the same thing. I just got to the bottom of my first mug, There's sludge from the grounds that went through the reusable filter. Back to the paper filters I guess. May be after the machine get's broke in and limed up a bit inside, the water won't go through the grounds as fast and won't overflow. :BangHead::lol::lol:

I simply drop the bag in my cup, pour some hot steamy water over it, add a bit of honey. Easy peasy!

I have a Bunn coffee maker. Regular filters are too short and always runs over. Bunn has their own filters which are a bit taller. Use them, no more problems.

My Dad was an electronics nut. But then , he was also an Airborne RTO all of his Military career . I remember he built a Heathkit 27in color TV around 1969. No cabinet. He built it into the wall in the family room. Then I built a small 12in B&W tv for my room. After he retired, he built a DOS ms computer that he used to run I's and O's on. I never did understand that stuff, but it excited him. R.I.P. Dad...Still miss You...
