Stop in for a cup of coffee

Nothing at all, I know where the numbers usally are and no go on the race. I need to get the bearing off the old carrier that one should have a good number on it I would think.

If you get street bearings instead of race ones, it may be cheaper.... :poke:

The auto parts stores usually have them in the help section for under $10, Karl since you have the big box going there want to pick them up? By the way I am sending the box of hardware from here prob tomorrow, just waiting on the clips from Mitch.

That's the same one we just had to order for Eddie's 340. We did look at the local parts stores here and they don't carry it.

They don't even have the 3/8" pipe thread x 5/8 nipple. They only carry a 5/8" nipple with 1/2" pipe thread..... :icon_fU:

So we had to order them from Summit or Mancini. I think Summit has a kit with the nipple, Mopar Perf bypass hose, and two clamps for $42-$45.... :BangHead:

Not to mention that the bypass hose diameter changed from 69 to 70 and you have to match what the water pump has. The aluminum water pump has cast nipples in the part, so you can't change them - you gotta match them.... (If you can't beat them, join them....)

what nipple

This/these....

It's the little birds that make a mess on my deck, in the early mornings they are setting on my chairs flying to the doors windows and eating bugs, chit spots need to be hosed down every other morning , I like watching them fly and dive bomb the window thow

I have some big thermo pane windows in my house... Sometimes the birds try to fly through my window and either kill themselves or knock themselves out for a bit when they fly right into one of them....

You can order it to my house, and I can stick it in with the booster.... It may save you some $$$...
Thanks, buddy, I just might. If I can find anything at a decent price. Looks like you had a hard time yourself so I'm not holding my breath ...

Yep, they really are marking up those unique/special parts that we need...

Supply and command.... (demand...)

Whe hace 3/4" pipe thread nipples over here but they aren't tapered. Sure, they fit and would probably seal, at least with a thread sealant, but It would be kinda nice to have the correct thread. I don't want to crack the intake.

That may not work, if the tapered hole is larger than the thread for the nipples, they will go right through the bottom and not get tight.

Even with a tapered pipe thread and tapered pipe (plug) you have to watch how deep you tap the hole so it does not get too big and the nipple/plug won't tighten up and go right through.

When we did the drain plugs in the v-6 blocks, we used a straight pipe thread and a tapered pipe plug... That way the plug wedged its way down in the hole like a cork and sealed well...

Howeer most of the taps that you find here are all tapered... You need to go to an industrial tool supply store like Grainger or Production Tool Supply to find a straight pipe thread tap if you want to do it that way (the right way)...

Hm. I could re-thread the holes, I suppose. Heresy, I admit, but the intake isn't exactly in showroom finish anyway.

You can send it to Karl to put in the box going over, that thing is getting heavy! LMAO

I can hang onto it longer to get some more parts thrown in for him... We may as well pack as much into it as we can so he gets the most for his shipping $$$.... <<<Christmas in Sweden>>>

(Maybe throw in a couple of bricks to make it heavier for him.... :poke:

I did find a 3/8" NPT nipple at Rock Auto:
More Information for DORMAN 56358

Make sure it has the right diameter nipple. Look at your heater core and see if it has two 5/8" outlets, or one 5/8" and one 1/2".... I've seen them either way... Match what your car is so you don't need any reducers/adapters....

stop already - I have two that I don't want to fart around trying to return to Summit.. make me an offer on them.. they are brand new.
Performance Stainless Steel Heater Hose Fittings 1005
Stainless is nice. I hate making offers, though. I always end up feeling like I offend people by offerin too little. Five bucks each? Are they both 3/8" or is one 3/4"?

To be honest, I need two small and one big.

Good catch...

I would want metal for my nipples, not plastic...
Dorman site says metal.

Hey Karl, Would head gaskets fit in the box? I would think not, them being so long. Maybe not the best thing to pack together with heavy parts, either.
