Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good Morning Guys!
First Coffee of the Day....mmmhhmmmm.

Test fitted the BB in my Valiant the second time yesterday evening. Looks good now.
And build in the master cylinder from my hydraulic clutch setup so far.

Hello from Chicago....

a: it's my property that I paid for, pay the taxes and insurance on.
b: if they ask permission, by all means, I'd says yes, its the one's without permission that are the problem.
c: most people in this area aren't just walking, they're there to poach fish, deer or even steal eggs from the chicken house and stuff from the garden.
d: if that's not what they're after, its to nose around my stuff and see what i have, which isn't anything super valuable but again, none of their business.
e: then you have the idiots who trip and roll and ankle that want to sue you since they were walking on your property and stupidly, the courts side with them 90% of the time or they settle with the insurance company which then hikes your rates.
Well, if you wish to keep people off your land simply because it is your land, then there is not much else to be said.

Regarding the c and d , like I said, that isn't allowed here either.

E is just beyond my comprehension. Has that really happened? How could anyone walking in nature, regardless of who owns the land, be able to sue and actually win if they hurt themselves? How can you guys allow it to be this way?

The original issue was that it isn't allowed to collect firewood in parks. I can absolutely see how that is a necessary rule to have. If it was allowed, pretty soon, due to the amount of traffic in the parks, the dead branches on the ground within a reasonable distance from designated fire places would be used up. Then what would people do? Of course they would start breaking off dead-ish branches from trees, and when those are all used up, the not dead at all branches. Maybe throw leaves and pine cones on the fire causing lots of flying hot particles increasing risk of wild fires.

Good morning.

People sue for some really stupid things here - and win.

As for the stick collection. Those rules are only neccesary because people don't have any sense, common or otherwise. If it ain't dead and dry, you ain't starting a fire with it. I've been camping many times and started many fires. We usually brought/bought big pieces, but collected sticks to start the fire. There's usually plenty there and it helps keep the place cleaned up. We did cut fresh sticks from mature trees to cook hot dogs and marshmallows - the way I learned in boy scouts. Again it's common sense and respect. If you are in a sterile, frufru 'campground' with hardly any trees, that may be destructive if there are a lot of people. In a heavily forested area, hundreds of people could do this and not have any ill effect.

Funny you say that, I have a slightly crazy idea of driving the GTS down to Mitch's place on Friday or Saturday to hand deliver the Aircraft prints he won in the Auction. It's about 135 miles each way and I can do it as a mix of pure highway and secondary roads.

It would be a great shake down run even though it would be a full day of driving. 2-1/2 hrs each way plus a couple of hours there. Leave at 9 am and get home around 5-6 pm.
You are quite welcome here indeed Dave. I'll even throw a few extra shrimp on the Barbi for ya!!

In the box that is going to Karls today along with a short 5/8 nipple that it new I had around.

Finish the rear install, had to go all over looking for the bearings/race. One place had two races, one one bearing, then a few no goes then I asked dean and his supplier said how many!@@$%^*^&$#@!
Then of course getting one started I snagged the cage and need another one!

Good morning Mitch, Hops and Tike I believe ! (dayum brain fart)
Getting my gear ready to go get some fresh fish in front of a small storm front trying to move in by 3 pm.

We had some boob booms here late afternoon yesterday, maybe a little hail also.
