I remember the day well.
All i remember was his picture on evert tv channel.
Second grade the school principal went to each classroom and told the class. At seven we weren't quite sure what was going on. I remember him and my teacher in tears.

Just spotted this in a group I follow on Facebook...pretty cool!! One of the few known Dedication Day programs. The written text poster said the paper was later used as scratch paper. I guess they didn't realize at the time how significant that day would become.

Craig, you have to go to the Civil war museum in Harrisburg when at Carlisle, lots of documents. It got better. Went there with the Jewels this summer, could spend 4 hours in there easily.
