May have been the same storm that dumped on us when we lived at the beach in San Diego County. Not many snow plows round when you live a 30 minute walk from the beach in SoCal :rofl:
 
Well that’s a wrap for deer season for me, it goes another week but with work and Uncle Sam getting to touch me next weekend, I cleared out and put everything up. End with a goose egg despite having multiple chances. Oh well.

On a new note, I have my yearly Army physical next weekend. Thinking heavily about asking about a medical retirement and requesting a medical review board. Just completed 18 years, to do it or not to do it.
 
Pond has ice on it this morning. First time before December. Wonder what that means for this winter?

Does the reduction in service time affect the retirement income? In my craft a disability before full retire age gave us the full benefit before the minimum retire age.

Really depends on your rank. You still won't collect till your 60 even with a medical. Also one thing I found out if you can transfer your educational benefits to your kid, have to do it before you are discharged!

Guard goes by points usually. Craig or Cheryl might know. Also a FYI if you take a disability rating under 50% then any money you get monthly comes out of your retirement. Sweet isnt it?

I won’t get my pension, but I will get tricare retired for life…

I knew that one. I’m also working the Va filing thing, just waiting on them to cough up records
