Stop in for a cup of coffee

they don't televise it if it's not sold out?
if you live within 100 miles, its under blackout rule unless the race is sold out. so for the first time since 1950, it'll be broadcast live, no delay

they do the same thing with a lot of sports - football in particular - really sucks to be so close yet not want to deal with the BS traffic and all that - but can't see the game unless you either pay per view or have a subscription to the NFL network

When i was young, 6 or 7, we lived real close to the Brickyard. so close in fact we fooled around in there all the time. We found a way in thru a storm drain. We would sneak in for the race! It was great. We could hang out in pit row, till some dumb *** did somthing stupid to get us kicked out. Back in the 60's security was a joke.

We took turns being that Dumb ***! Usually just getting too close to a car. "Hey you kids get the hell away from there"! On at least one occasion, we got into the beer cooler of some team or the other, and got **** faced, did I say we were less then 10? Some of my best childhood memories are from that place!

I feel a little sorry for kids today, never knowing that feeling of getting into adventures such as this.^^^ Our parents didn't micro-manage us and we could run free...

So far this is a pretty good week. Crowds already arriving for Memorial Day so we'll make money. Tonight a big insurance company has the whole restaurant for a big party. It's more like a banquet, so it's a nice change of pace. And I didn't catch any flack about the bad review that young kid posted; boss said don't worry, in fact now I think it's cool in a way it's permanently on the internet that I'm the "snobbiest waiter." Which I am not. And my coworkers will NEVER stop ribbing me about it!

It is a miracle we survived at all. No seat belts, riding in the bed of pickup trucks. Just kidding, I think our government has gone over board trying to protect us!

lunch break... it's like a different world when you're on vacation... :p - went and got the HD inspected, I guess he could have rejected me but, he got a case of the "cool dudes" and popped a sticker on it! Whew - I hate having to change a couple of stupid little things for 1 hr...
So, got that done AND the bypass is in! WOOHOO - good God what a PITA!!!

Fixing things like that us the best kind of progress IMO. Things that don't want to get fixed.

Looks like I can score a pair or 73 and up LCA:s with sway bar brackets.
Do the ball joints from my 66 LCA:s fit?
What else should I not forget?

I think LCAs are interchangeable-except for the sway bar. do you have a sway bar? mounting point on LCA is diff than the early one. I think you can use the later style, but think you need the whole assembly. Pretty sure if you search the site there are threads on the differences
also, don't recall the details, but depending which parts used caliper may need to be moved.

I don't have a sway bar but I want to install one. I might make my own, actually. How hard can that be?
One of them has the ball joint and the steering spindle as well as a strut rod. Maybe even a connecting rod, can't really tell from the pic. The other side is just the LCA with the pivot pin.
The price is right - zero pesos - so I'm going to go for it regardless. Saves me the trouble of getting the new bushings I need.

Ya, beer thirty here now.

I had a crazy afternoon. My wife took her loser brother (who also has late stage liver cancer) and his cat to the vet since he has no means of transportation. While there, he lost his mind and became combative severely enough that they called the police who took him to a hospital in handcuffs. They suspected anything from a chemo treatment reaction to the cancer having spread into his brain.

Wife calls me and says she's an hour from home, police are waiting for her at the hospital and she needs to get the cat boarded at the vet and needs me to leave work and go pick up our daughter when school lets out in an hour.

Great, I have a Company meeting starting in 30 mins scheduled for 2 hours and it's a 45 min commute home. I call the CEO and say I can't be at the meeting and get in the car for home only to have a 4 car accident shut down 2 of 4 lanes of the highway half way home. I manage to get off the highway and around the accident and get to my daughter's school only 2 mins late. Surprised her completely since she expected my wife to pick her up.

Just as I picked her up, my wife calls and says the problem with her brother was that his blood sugar was down to 51. The dumbass gave himself insulin before leaving for the vet and forgot to eat.
