So I meet the Brats n Granbrats at house in Oceanside for NYD and a belated Christmas. Brat in law and I decide we will BBQ, BIL brings Tri Tips and Rib Eyes. I bring 4 varieties of sausages they can't get in Phx. There is one little portable BBQ here already and I set off to get another for more grill space. Lowe's here I come. I find what I'm looking for. Cute little gal employee says "Look! They're on sale!" Great price, less than half normal retail at $15. I get to the checker and she says "That will be $7.82" :wtf: I didn't argue. Thanks Lowes and Merry Christmas to you too :lol:

Tims cant get it right, coffee sucks. McD’s coffee is better.
 
Been down this road. The pain never goes away but life goes on and doesn’t stop. It does get a bit easier to cope with time.

But he was delivering some Bad News... Apparently my ex-wifes boyfriend ( Norman ) committed suicide on Friday afternoon. Shot to the head. Now, Norman considered himself a Ladies man. He knew Sue and I since age 19. This guy was always after someone else's girlfriend or wife, always a snake.. We partied with him regularly when we were younger. He even drove his Caddy Limousine for us at our wedding. He always had the Hots for Sue. Anyhow, he called me out of the blue, 2 years ago when I was in Viet Nam. Had a good conversation, and he asked about Sue. Told him we were divorced. Said he hadn't talked to her in years. He asked for her number, and I gave it to him. When I got home 4 months later, I found out that he had gotten with Sue, and was actually living up here at her house..WTF??? He was living in Mannassas Va for years. A snake never changes I guess. I let it go, as really its none of my business. But I know the Guy and I know that he was heavy into drugs and such, and had even been shot in the face by a policeman years ago. Nobody know why he committed suicide and he didn't leave a note. He is dead now and I really dont have any animosity towards him, but it shocked me. Told my Son to check with Mom and see if its ok that I drop by the funeral home for a few minutes....

My younger Brother also took his own life at age 48 back in 2006. Difference was, he hung himself out in Public....... :( :( :eek: :eek:

Sorry to hear . Even with the backstory I’m sure there’s some emotional aspect to it that you’re gonna be feeling.

Been fairly unscathed from any family doing that to date, but I’ve listed several friends and fellow veterans to it, usually a couple a year. I know of at least two now that I’ve personally managed to get them help when they were sitting their pistol in hand. All I did was listen and get them to someone who is trained to help.
