Stop in for a cup of coffee

Kicked around the idea for the garage... just to take the edge off in there and the bedrooms above
They are nice I had them at the old house. A low electric use and very dependable 10-year warranty and have had warranty work only once. It does take the edge off I especially like them in the summer keeping the garages dryer eliminating the humidity we have.

I installed a DIY Mr Cool at my cabin. Took about 4 hours to do by myself.

Here's another good one. "The heads are attached with these bolts and the pushrods". Bumping up the 318 a bit

First, yikes - that motor -

Secondly, yes - needs to do a lot of reading and research. The books that are out there, my biggest complaint is that the images just downright suck for trying to pick out details.

Those fuzzy black and white photos in some of those books leave a lot to be desired for sure.

One thing I have to say the GM books show where every single nut and bolt go along with the touqe specs.

I told Ron to get one when the Monte was in my shop what a mistake he torqued every single nut/bolt/screw. Everyone. No wonder it was on the lift over a year! :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

Lot of rescue guys brought the mixes with them on extended deployments. Worked great in liter bottles!
Made me think about where so many deployments are these days and those nation's views on adult beverages. A brother Operating Engineer was telling me about some of his time with Bechtel Corp. In the early petroleum days in the middle east, Bechtel did lots of the grading, construction, pipelines involved in the growth of the oil industry there. He was on a pipeline crew. They were housed in container type structure on skids that was drug to the next site by a dozer :realcrazy:. They worked 6 twelves and then took 3 off. Adult beverages were not allowed. After the work week was done, they loaded up on a Bechtel airplane and flew to Cypress to let off the work week steam and consume those beverages that were so missed. I guess I was just spoiled being able to stop at the market for a tall boy on the way home after work

Nada, also Rhode island wiring, Brillman and connector world are a bust. Cant really bend a regular one because of the screw. #8 Pre 35 dist part. just need maybe 25 of them.

Goes on that part that sticks out and the grommet is molded around it. The screw is where it goes.

Thats the one but 12 each starts adding up in a rebuilld. Lucky to do them for 300 now. And the older car guys squeak.
sort of average parts prices.

Core 150-75
Breaker plate 65 if needed
Points cond 50 usually some higher
Oil fill cap 20
dist leads 25
Rebuild and document 135

Also alot of times the cloth on the wire just falls apart.

Yesterday was a cluster when the mail came. Have a temp in for my guy turns around off the gravel and gets stuck. The UPS guy Ben is a friend was here. He grabs some traction strips from the UPS truck, no go. OK no where to hook a tow strap to. Push him out with the tractor. OK up the drive and gone. Never got my mail!:BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:
