Stop in for a cup of coffee

Mitch, do you have to pay extra using your cell phone there?
I used to put it on the international plan with Verizon. They want an extra $100 a month. I'm done with that. I didn't do it this time. As long as I have Wi-Fi I can communicate on my phone with my friends here through an app we call Zalo. Wi-Fi is wide open here in Vietnam. Every cafe every restaurant every little store. Everybody has free Wi-Fi for you. The customer. Much unlike America. Lol. I also put a message on my voicemail. If someone calls me or tries to text me and can't do it I left my email address. I get my email every day as always

I hope you get what you need. There's a lot of those Jeeps out there.
Compared to A-bodies they are hard to find parts for.

Many variations on the drivetrains.
The front Dana 44 differential got moved to the driverside in 1980. For 83 and 84 with automatic transmissions, there was a front axle disconnect. The housings and axles are limited to those years. The automatics in 1985 - 91 have no disconnect. These axles are 'hubless' - in otherwords the axles always engage with the wheels. Axles and housings for pickups (J-trucks) and Cherokee Chiefs and other 'wide track' optioned wagons are wider. Manual transmission got manual locking hubs.

What year is your Jeep?

Total production from '85 to the end 91/92 look to be under 70,000 wagons of all flavors.

Compare that to A-body production estimates where they twice that in even some of the worst years (volume wise)

What year is your Jeep?
1985.
And one of the more irritating about part look ups by year-make-model is they have listings for Dana 30 and disconnect axle parts for every year.

There were some odd - rare version - but those aren't in the parts lookup. For example I think there was a diesel equiped version for export.

I am highly disappointed. My favorite little quaint Riverside Cafe has been torn down and they have replaced it with a walkway along the river for people. It was just a little Riverside Cafe without food, but it was a nice place to sit and watch the river go by and maybe read a book. Not as high end as most cafes here in Vinh Long. Here's some pics I've taken in the past. I was too upset to take a pic of the new walkway. :mob: :mob:

I don't know if ever told the story to you all or not. But I was staying in the hotel right across the street from that cafe when I first started coming here. I met my wife there on the second time I came to the city and stayed at that hotel. I had walked across the street to the cafe for a morning coffee, like each morning. I saw this beautiful Vietnamese woman sitting there alone, so I just went over and sat down and started talking to her in the limited Vietnamese that I knew. At the time. She looked at me like I had a dick growing out of my forehead. Lol. Kkkkkkkk But it all worked out. Kind of sad. The place is gone now.

Bummer. :(

Matt, throw the yoke on the grill and preheat it good then finish off with your torch rig. Git R done!

heat, as mentioned bbq on 11 and leave it in there for an hour. Heat it below eylet and as i think about it,
Use threaded rod to push yoke ear out. I’d machine a rod to just fit eye to pass through both.

My buddy emailed back and is game. He's got the full size tanks and this is an excuse to get the rosebud (or in this case I'll get it for him)

TJ.
A little confused on how the threaded rod goes together with the machining a rod to pass through both eyes. Can you clarify?

I'm going to have to take a ride to the beach tomorrow. Weather Service says 12-20' breakers
I can go to Surf Beach at Vandenberg and watch the Great White Sharks hang ten or go to Oceano and watch the breakers wash the dunes buggys and motorhomes off the ramp as they try and escape the dunes.

Need to get some sleep this afternoon. It's about 1:4 0 in the afternoon here now. Another party at 5:00 p.m. today. That will be 5:00 a.m. on the east coast. Hope it doesn't go too long. My body hasn't caught up yet.

Sleeping? Nope. I have been up for an hour and a half. :BangHead:

Me too..............even after all the work yesterday still didn't sleep well. Up at 1238, tossed and turned now doing some reading, watching Youtube, and of course drinking coffee.

I haven't started the coffee yet. I hope to doze off for a half hour or so

I caught up on back reading.
@memike hopefully you are resting tonight. The progress on the garage looks great.
