Stop in for a cup of coffee

How small are your tanks?
About as small as you can go for welding.
Currently the acet tank is a WQ, supposedly 75 and the Oxygen is supposed to be 80 SCF.
But nominally I've seen them listed as 60-75 SCF
Would have to check but IIRC the recommendation at least double that capacity so the flow doesn't outrun the conversion from liquid to gas.

Matt, throw the yoke on the grill and preheat it good then finish off with your torch rig. Git R done!
Grill is at the house. I never bought a rosebud, but the welding stuff is at the shop and for this I think even the largest tip I have is too small to evenly heat. Lack of patience got me in this mess, I'm trying not to dig a deeper hole. Easy answer would be to buy another vehicle to abuse in the winter.

How are you going to straighten it Matt?
A. Find someone who has done it before.

B1. Lacking other guidance, put it in a vise and heat the base of the ear to dull red.
Apply force with a pipe on the inside that fits fairly close. There may be some better way to apply inside pressure, I don't know.

B2. See if the shop guy at the other parts store thinks he can do it.

Currently waiting on call backs and responses to my want ad.
Going to try to cool my heels and be patient.
Go take a walk then do some work after dinner.

Jeep Recyclers called back and has an axle assembly. We're just going to exchange photos and verify it the right one.
Fingers crossed.

Stopped for lunch at 2:00. Grabbed some tools and replaced the timer in the bathroom. It fell apart when i removed it from the wall. Its been in pieces forever from what i can tell. Suprised it worked at all..think it was from the 70’s.

Life is maintenance! And for your business, that's a good thing.

Do you think it can be saved?
It seems relatively soft, I'm assuming no harm in heating to dull red (rosebud) ?

heat, as mentioned bbq on 11 and leave it in there for an hour. Heat it below eylet and as i think about it,
Use threaded rod to push yoke ear out. I’d machine a rod to just fit eye to pass through both.

Spent all day in the shop cleaning up and organizing everything. I picked up the other shelving unit yesterday as well as 40 sheets of OSB 24" x 48".

I bought a couple shelving units for my whisky bottles. The thin OSB that came with them warped from the weight in a few days. I replaced some of it with 3/4' plywood for the win.

Finished the shop exhaust fan today and tied myself to the bench before I turned it on.
After I wired it in I couldn't resist yelling Egor! Flip The Switch!!! Works just fine.

Here are some old pics from when I got the first ones. The one I got yesterday is the same and now I have 4. They have wire shelving and are heavy-duty steel. Much better now with the OSB on there. I need to take some pics tomorrow now that everything is put away................

Well, Breakfast is finished. She cooked me breakfast here at the house today. Going to go shave since I haven't shaved in 3 days. Did shower as soon as I got here last night though. Going to jump on my motorbike and head out to the Riverside Cafe for some Vietnamese iced coffee.

I bet it feels good to be home (away from home)

Ahhhh you have support. Yes, the OSB will be fine there.

Like a reverse turnbuckle action. Sounds good.
Hopefully the one replacement will be all its promised to be. But even so, at some point I want to save this one if I can,
