Stop in for a cup of coffee

The section I am on at present is about thirty acres wide. I have already worked my way up to a nice bench that is just below a Ridge that is essentially the back property line. Working my way horizontally across the mountain if you will.
Let's see, you cutting wood and a sidearm I bet. I think Woody is in order here.

Have a co-worker retiring, known him since my Navy days, met in 1983. Trying to think of a retirement gift, him and his wife love guns but he has an aresenal and I mean a LOT, any ideas? I was thinking either something from a new high tech shooting range they built or maybe a gift cert. from Skagit Arms, pretty decent local gun shop?
Just dawned on me you could get him a gift certificate to The Mag Shack. He sounds like he might be a guy that needs about a million different mags? And nobody likes spending money on mags!

I think our chance for rain today has diminished . I see no signs of it on the radar within 200 miles. The NWS did add one little warning to things  12-18' breakers on west facing beaches

Couple good shows at the Wino Amphitheatre this summer. ZZ Top end of April. Bonnie Raitt in September. August has Beach Boys and Robert Plant, 2 separate events there.

We got em' I hate them. I've cut five or six down.
Those are nasty looking trees. Like John described, Medieval. I remember those growing in my uncle's timber that we used to cut firewood out of.

Chainsaw, bucket on tractor and a burn pile. Once they dry out they will literally destroy a chainsaw blade. Hard as stone when they dry. Everyone uses them for fence post as they will not rot. Sometimes the trees are called Bodart around here. They are evil, our property and all those around us are littered with them.
There are still a few fence posts at the back corner of my property that look like they could have been there a 100 years.
Previous, very old neighbor always told me they were locust....

Good Morning all

They did make good firewood. I hated the thorns it seemed they never desegrated. I raked them up in a pile and burned them.

Scratch Robert Plant off the list. He done sold out already.
We saw him a couple years back when he was touring with the country music chick. It was a fun show. We also went to Bonnie R. I have seen her about a million times. This last time she relinquished the stage for a up and coming artist making a bunch of political statements. She only sang a couple of songs. I was pissed. I did not pay all that cash to listen to rhetoric. In the words of Bob Seger DJ you worked hard for your money, you want to hear the real thing!

Started out the day with coffee watching daybreak over the Caribbean. Moved on to vodka and grapefruit juice.. Breakfast of sausage and eggs. Listening to little music. Little loving with the wife to Stairway to Heaven.. Then a little Joe Satriani to chill with..

Yep my life sucks!!! I absolutely love retirement!

Woo Hoo, you go boy! Hug her for me. Let us know when you get back to OK I got your calendar!

Things are moving forward. Time to make another pattern and get step finished. But im going for a second cup of coffee. Im about a quart low today.
Its gorgeous outside. Suns out, no wind.
One storage customer wants her car, so i will pause and get it outside.

Have you ever considered switching to a salt water pool fill? The maint is dramatically lower and the benefits of not using all the chemicals is appealing. But if your hardware is not set up for it that might be an issue? We switched to salt water and never looked back. The ease of keeping the water balanced is amazing. Just thinking out loud, party on!
A salt water pool sounds interesting.
I stopped going in the ocean, well any water that fish live in.
One I realized fish make love in it. Among other things.

Last time I purchased tickets for Bonnie Raitt I think I started the pandemic  Got a notice from the casino that the show was postponed with zero details. Later I called the casino to see if there was any more info and got no response. 6 months after that I got a check in the mail as a refund. :BangHead: I really like her music, but I have to listen with my eyes closed. I don't hear well when I'm drooling for her
