Stop in for a cup of coffee

Give me the good old days when it was 28 cents a gallon.
Well, we're not getting there... but the fuquery is most annoying

I worked at a gas station as a teenager and 5 bucks would fill an empty tank on a big car.
In the summer 4 of us would kick in a buck each and drive down to the Jersey Shore, Wildwood.
It would gets us there and back including tolls.

I can only remember the gas wars I think, .25 a gallon rings a bell. Sure has been creeping up here with Summer coming, 4.44 a gallon at the Casino which is usually pretty fair priced.

IIRC There's a more detailed breakdown they did about the cost of the crude - how much it costs to get out of the ground, then how much to ship it, etc.

Some states regulate the retailers to try to stop price gouging. IIRC NJ somehow doesn't allow big jumps in prices.

That's partly this state and part of why we're packing up and moving to Idaho, automatic 1 dollar a gallon cheaper in a lot of areas. Blows me away to work on multiple refineries up here and pay that.
Idaho is a good State. Hope the best for your move Rich.

Interesting video...

Chris, @WV64Signet what is the remedy for a pinched nerve? Couple of days ago I think I moved the wrong way, pinched a nerve in my lower back going to my right hip and leg. Pretty painful sometimes when you try to walk. I thought it would work itself out but it's been 2 days now...

Very simple thing is to lay on the floor on your back with the back of your calves resting on the couch or chair... and your butt as close to the couch as you can. Let your hips relax and the weight be on your calves... it'll create some release in your low back. Stay like that for as long as your able.

More active release are Doorway dips. They can help release the hip flexor... sometimes that gives relief.

Stand in a doorwar with your left shoulder against the frame. Raise your left leg like a landing gear and lower your knee straight down toward the floor, bending your right knee. Go as deep as you can, sliding your shoulder down the frame.
Take your left knee as straight down as possible. Keep your right knee over your toes. Dip as deeply as you can. Do a few reps and see.

If the dips are too stressful, you can do a similar thing on one kneewith your right knee on the ground. Put your left foot forward at about a 45° angle and lean your left knee over your left toe... but keep your hips square...

Lol... that's a lot to explain in words. Hope it made some sense

I'll give that a shot when I get back to the house. Can't keep me down. I did go out for breakfast and coffee, but it's a little embarrassing hobbling around. LOL

Sciatica. I go to the chiropractor for an adjustment. Sometimes it's bad enough I need some Tens muscle stimulation.

Not to stereotype, but there must be acupuncture available?

I had it for quite a few years. Stretching helps. Proper alignment is a must and muscle and nerve stem helps kill the pain. Tylenol or Ibuprofen won't help. Neither does whiskey!

I never get hurt doing something cool. It's always something stupid, like picking up the laundry basket

Evening, snow and cold all day here. Went bang bang shopping didn’t find anything that stuck out. But lots of talk about what Colorado is trying to pass. Dang near everything is a scary assault weapon to them even my .50 cal black powder Hawking.
