Stop in for a cup of coffee

Also, the rest of the car is new. Anything can happen to any part - especially nowadays. Engine is likely fine, but get used to the car, get a feel for all of it. What it does, how it reacts, etc. By the time you're getting comfortable, it is all broke in. Don't make it in one of the videos of burnouts leaving a car show and crash.
This for sure!

As for RPM and break in? Our engines are very different - OHC and roller everything, but concept is the same. Like I mentioned, keep it varied RPM for the first ~500 miles. I would stay below 2500-3000 for the most part. Then change oil and gradually raise RPM range as miles add up. It used to be said, "break it in the way you will be driving it" So, race cars didn't really have much of a break in compared to a street car. just don't want to glaze the cylinders so you get good ring seal. Working an engine hard breaks things in faster, but I would take it easy.

For comparison, if I was breaking in a new engine today, at work. I would run like this, no stop in between, just increase throttle..
Idle for 15min
2000 for 15min
2500 for 15min
3000 for 15min
3500 for 15min
4000 for 15min
4500 for 15min
5000 for 15min
WOT for 1hr..

 Finally....................Here is one of the first drive videos. Getting used to the power as well as manual steering and drum brakes.

So, I kind of know this vendor from Carlisle has Mopar parts and GM. Asked him about ignition parts. Said he has a ton at home no idea what they are. So, call him yesterday he is in Lebanon which is where the VA is. I have a meet up with him after an appointment to go through his warehouse and containers. Said it will take a few hours. Holy crap need car money! See a few K leaving my residence!

Wife said she wants to go and push the shopping cart! Glad I have a good one!

40 years of buying out dealers! No idea what he will have. Of course no list or organization at all.

I really need to put some of the bigger stuff like test sets on flea bay or marketplace.

No smaller ones. Have a few large sun scopes on cabinets I need to move. Been a while since I fired them up. I want to donate one to the AACA in Hershey for thier gas station mock up in the museum.
