Great keep us posted please.I've got an idea that I need to spend some time on. I think the back is done...
Look at how long it is. And the big *** flange..Well once I bought a new 9/16 gear wrench it went OK. You know gravity takes over at some point. Freaking thing is very heavy. Will for sure need a trans jack to reinstall..needs a serious rearward tilt.
Hey Tim the last time I R&I my tranny I used 2 small rachet straps under the tranny and put the hooks in existing holes in the frame and ratcheted it down and back in. Worked slick.Well once I bought a new 9/16 gear wrench it went OK. You know gravity takes over at some point. Freaking thing is very heavy. Braggart
Worked good for me, I couldn't get the car high enough off the ground to roll the tranny out with a jack under it.That is a thought...
Sure is. Then right where it sits is under the console. So any modification you have to make to the tunnel has to work with console. Took a while to make it work...engine tilted down 1/4 inch at trans cross member. Then getting pinion angle right....grrrrThat's tight in that A...... body
Yep that has to be a tight fit. Especially for such a big box.
A transmission adapter for a floor jack may be helpful. I am surprised Harbor Freight doesn't have one. Amazon.comThat is a thought...
Exactlytwo of these on each side hooked together underneath the trans would probly give some side to side directional control along with lift

O and having to cut out the top of the cross member and re engineering it to get clearence...there was that...Sure is. Then right where it sits is under the console. It's the weight at the rear that's issue. Floor jack under there might do it...Exactly
Never thought of this approach..thanks guystwo of these on each side hooked together underneath the trans would probly give some side to side directional control along with lift

First time I pulled mine that's how I did it but had to have help. I'm no mechanic and what skills I have sucks. It's the weight at the rear that's issue. Floor jack under there might do it...
