I need to get a new heater in my garage. Running 2 110-volt heaters right now but I need a new 220-volt. I have a pellet stove I use when the power goes out but cost more to buy pellets than running electric.
This one was $129 i think.. 5000w.. i woulda got the 7500w but that needs a 40a and i'm not running a new line, i'm gonna tap into my compressor plug below it.. i need to pick up some 10ga romex though.. can't find any around my house..

I'm all wired for a 40 amp heater but I only have a 100 amp service in the garage and I have a big compressor so I have to shut the heater off if I run the compressor. Not a big deal and the 100 amp should be plenty but not taking the chance with running everything else electric and tripping the main breaker.

So no sand blasting in the winter....

5000 watts needs 40 amp 220 v. Oh, I saw the 120 volt outlet and it looked like the heater was plugged in there. Nope the wire goes up and through the wall.

I need some shelves or something

Sorry, I was mistaken. 5000 divided by 120 volts is 41.66 amps. Too many amps for a 120 v. circuit so you need a 220 volt circuit which is 20.83 amps so a 30 amp 220 v would be fine (2 15 amp 110 volt feeds)

Planning out dinner tonight and thought I'd try a can of Progresso tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich.
Was reading the directions on the can and found this. :wtf:Bioengineered???

I have ben making my own soup just to keep the sodium down. Low salt broth and natural ingredients are good. Cream of mushroom was delicious. There was a little fat in the half and half buy not as much as the whipping cream that I was supposed to use.
