Chris, so I had been thinking about your statement. Because it is on a different forum, yous guys don't know. A kiwi friend who has decades of streamliner racing at Bonneville has issues remembering names. So, do to my long beard (and red) he just called me ZZ. Then introduced me as such to another racer. That guy responded "I can see that". He was corrected that I am ZZ Bottom, unlike the great band, I am the bearded brother in law that sleeps on the couch. And, on Landspeedracing.com, I am now ZZ or ZZ Bottom.
Glad it's not closer...I'd get in a BUNCH of trouble for bringing that home. Got a nice gas tank for it, a WWII air tank from a bomber. Thanks Dad!

Oh yeah. We ran it and drove it before we pulled it. Donor truck is just rusted out worse than even my polara. No floor boards, cab mounts are 4x4 blocks, the bed is Swiss cheese, frame has rot the front control arms.
So it was rusted....lol
Badly. But engine has just 182k in it. Which I believe given the condition. Runs strong, pulled the pan and valve covers, no sign of distress or wear
