Stop in for a cup of coffee

Every day is Saturday! I see sets of cards all the time on my searches give me a want list I will tag you with the ads if you want in a PM.

I appreciate that but really like to go to a card show or shop in person and see what I'm buying. Looking at them on the internet isn't the same then you have to pay shipping and taxes. The shop I went to yesterday for example the guy discounted my total price, and then I paid cash with no taxes.

I get it. Something I know nothing about unless at some barn sale there is a box of them from the 30;s for $20!

So the daughter picks up the wife to go get Daughter a real tree. OK plenty cut your own around here. They get back in like two hours, for them that's fast. So the wife says she needs a hand to get a box out of the Trailblazer. Holy crap she bought a 60" Big screen! Guess she fought the Amish at Walmart for it!

Wouldnt it be cheaper just to sit closer to the tv? Like when you were a kid sitting right in front of it?
Im just jealous, ours is a 58 i think…

Morning!
0°f.
Coldest day so far, but its proclaimed to be normal.
Brekkie, then attempt to start a couple things and shuffle them around. Not looking forward to playing outside. And snow needs to be adjusted.

Good morning everyone. I hope all is well. Been just trying to get some stuff done. Work is asking 4am-4pm M-F for the rest of the year to start, could be longer. OT will be nice, but UGH

One of the many observations I had this week, was that I did not realize the increase of time in being alone as a retired guy. And the simple comfort that brings. Being invaded with kinfolk this week and literally having zero alone time made me reflect on how much time of each day I work alone puttering on this or that. While I have never been anywhere close to comfortable or polite in group settings I found this week my threshold or endurance if you will, for the continued presence of people has diminished dramatically. I did my best to hide in the shop with the dogs.

I'm good for about 72 hours... And I'm ready to go

Good morning :D

We did a 7 12s summer at the quarry. It was funded by So Cal Edison so our stoopidvisors didn't give a rat's ***. Edison had Diablo Cyn Nuclear Power Plant, just up the beach a little ways. The previous winter was brutal weatherwise. Dreadful windy, huge surf and swells, coastal flooding, you name it. One thing you won't think of, the ocean destroyed the breakwater at that nuke plant. They paid our company well to mine all the granite boulders needed to rebuild it. We got one day off that summer, 4th of July. Only reason we got that was because Edison refused to pay the triple time rates for us to work it  .
