We had a MAC Tool convention in Dallas many years ago. The airport was open but the roads weren't. We rented a Cadillac at the airport and away we went. The guy thought we were crazy, noone was on the roads but we had fun. I don't think the car was straight the whole way to the hotel. We were all used to driving on slippery roads and Kevin was a stock car guy so he was used to steering right to go left.

Didn't have much experience with icy/snowy roads until I spent 2 winters in Germany but have a good deal of experience in the wet from teaching myself car control on empty wet parking lots in the late 60's but every time it got cold enough to snow here, I was out in it! But during that freeze, there was mostly ice however, I was out in that too.
A dry cold!
A wet cold is much worst lol
Hey @Cranky, how far south do you live? Around Dallas if I remember?
I'm ESE of Houston....Pasadena borders Houston but I live on the far east side of Pasadena. It's about a 5 minute walk to the next town....
I lost a friend to cancer last night. Damn, too much of this going on lately.

Nope. Im in the boonies. Nothing like that up here. And laptop has reached the rnd of its service life. And ipad will suit my needs just fine.
Yeah I had to drive an hour to get to one to fix my iPad but it was cheaper than buying another

Ok. Our dog blue is coming home today. With medicine they predict 6 months left with her. With 15k surgery 1.5 years. No surgery
Sigh.... So sorry to hear brother. That just sucks bad

I just doled out $6k to get the dog through a health crisis myself. Supposed to be normal life with minimal meds. Still working through recovery

Yep this time 6 grand. Already. She has a tumor on her pancreas. Producing to much insulin. Making low blood suger...and seizures. Medicine can keep blood sugar in line mostly but tumor is still there

NWS just upgraded the Winter Storm Warning. Accumulations went from 1 - 3 to 5 - 9 inches starting tomorrow night.

Sounds like NOVA and Eastern Panhandle primarily. You might just dodge it Scott.
