Stop in for a cup of coffee

Do it, like tonight. Don’t hesitate
Hes working in a camp, heavy duty mechanic. Couple weeks before he’s home. Whennhe gets back, we are working on his (my old) power wagon. Im sure he has beer in his fridge.

I spent my youth fishing on my grandfathers boat on the ocean and with my uncle installing house gutters. Also worked with my dad making dune buggy's. Did a lot of fiber glass work back then. and right you are dokeboy I would give anything just for one more time to help my grandfather, uncle or dad.
My father was in the military so he was gone most of the time. I started working when I was 12 years old while he was in Vietnam, I shoveled snow in the winter time in Allentown Pennsylvania. When he came home from Vietnam, he was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base with the Presidential Air Wing. We lived off base and I cut grass for all the neighbors for money. Two summers vacations while in high school I worked for an Asphalt Paving Crew in Northern Virginia. I worked for Safelite windshield company moving glass around. I also worked at Burger chef as a night manager at age 15. I worked for a carpet and tile installation company for about a year. Then at age 18, I went to work for an Auto Parts Operation for two older guys that owned five stores as a delivery boy. It was on and up from there in their organization. Had my own Small group of stores for quite a few years. Retired at age 44.. Life is good if you work hard.

My son is in his 30’s and we still havent sat down and had a beer together. That’s going to change.
I was workin' with my Dad on a Freeway job in LA. He taught me a lot of valuable stuff in our trade :D Anyway my 21st birthday we went out to get somethin' to eat and he bought me my first "legal" cocktail of my adult life :D.

Today is the last day here in Phu Quoc. Going back to Saigon later this afternoon. I like this place a lot. I will definitely book a stay here again later this year when I come back to Vietnam. Cost for the room by the Ocean for 5 days and four nights was only $290 USD. That included breakfast each day, but if you wanted to eat dinner here, you paid for it or you went out a little ways to another restaurant.. You'll also pay for alcoholic drinks here including beer. A few pics of the room.Very nice accommodations.

Almost bedtime. I was nodding off in the chair downstairs. So what do I do? Come upstairs and get tv on my phone and hang out on FABO. LOL

Morning.
Visited the Vampire yesterday. Waiting on results.
I have been feeling better, I think the few warm days have helped.
My buddy Bill who helped rewire the Valiant is going to pick me up this afternoon.
One of our group has decided to close his shop, and just play with his cars.
Funny I'm the only non Italian out of 8.

I'm at the Airport now with my Little Honey. Be back in Saigon by 6:00 p.m. Saigon time

Are the airports anything like here? In regards to security, and all the pain in the *** stuff here we deal with.
Yes, the big city airports are pretty much the same as in America. A real hassle. But this is a very small airport and it was pretty easy to get through everything.

Also, since we are on domestic flights within Vietnam, we don't have to go through any Vietnam Customs/Immigration at any time coming or going.

How times have changed in the last 18 months.................they are selling new c8 corvettes 15 % off MSRP, big difference from the quick flips and insane money they were getting.

I have enough trouble getting in and out of the Valiant. Unless the tops down.
I do miss my old Lincoln LSC. Sold that when it started becoming an issue and went to the Escalade. Easier to climb in then fall in.
