My neighbor is rebuilding one he just bought. I don't think his is big enough for my 1 ton trucks rotors though. Would be nice to have thoughKeep getting Brake lathes on my searches. Really tempted to get one if I ever get the Cuda gone. BIL has the one we used in the gas station we worked at with the shoe archer also. Mine if I go get it.
I think there are specific hole saw like cutters now, yes?Another one that bugs me is cutting the swedge of a drum Lugnuts to get a stud out!
Why? Never did them like that. Put a log nut on a studs end BFH it out usually one hit. Put new lug in put a washer and the Lugnut backward tighten usually a impact gun and your done and saved the swage on the drum also.I think there are specific hole saw like cutters now, yes?
This usually only occurs on front brake drums to the hub where they are swedged. Don't think you will find it on the rear at all. I have used my cut off tool to cut down the swedges slightly as not to damage the splines in the hub when you drive them out. Why? Never did them like that. Really/ Never had one bend. When you coming back? This usually only occurs on front brake drums to the hub where they are swedged. Don't think you will find it on the rear at all. I am not sure honestly. When I wanted to replace the drums on the Demon, I couldn't get any. Seems strange to replace the whole hub assembly which isn't available also. I think the thought is to have a floating drum like modern cars and just replace that. Why? Never did them like that. Put a log nut on a studs end BFH it out usually one hit. You wouldn't bend the hub, but there's a chance you could bend the hole of the drum slightly. Coming back in four weeks......Really/ Never had one bend. When you coming back?
