you know - - the more I listen to this stuff the more I realize just how amazing GNR were - not that I didn't know it because they are among my top 5 favorite - but damn man, they really took it to another level - love or hate GNR, there is no arguing how important they are to the history of rock and roll - and they were "at the right time" for me - God the stories...

Slash is one of the best guitarists. Axl, for all his issues, could wail and was a great showman.. Makes you wonder what might have been if....

Maybe, Mike...I thought about it, but with no a/c in Florida in August, windows that fall of their tracks when you roll them down, and 15 mpg tops going 1000+ miles, I think I'll make the 8 hr drive there and back in my little Tercel with a/c and 40 mpg.

I apologize for interrupting you conversation however have not seen anything from Big Dummy and his Stuff I do While Trucking thread.
Is he ok or just get tired of posting. Always enjoyed following him around the country.

he got pissed off at someone a few weeks back and said cya to the whole thing... starting to look like he meant it.. too bad too, I too enjoyed his posts

I swear he also said he would be selling his car... he has some pretty big health issues and honestly, I think he was depressed... I will try to find out the last time he was actually seen on here
 
Perhaps he has chilled out and a little nudge might bring him back. Can't allow one person to mess up the party.
 
Damn, it makes me sad when a cool member leaves, I hope he comes back. I always looked for his Trucking posts, very interesting to see and read what his job entailed.
 
As I look back I was never a fan of GnR. I understand and respect their place and contributions to rock and roll. Slash probably in the top 10-20 of all time great guitarists. Their fan base being as big and diverse as it is. And now that I'm older, meh...still not a fan. JMO
